the april playlist looks amazing. This is the only PVD I missed and judging from the tracks played it was by far imo one of his better sets. very very differnt than his central park set.

My opinion of sound bar.....

I think the sound system at sound bar is proablly the best in the city imo. Especially comapared to vision. I think this is the case because the dance floor is much much smaller and the speakers are placed closer to the crowd. The lighting at sound bar is also very good. However it doesnt have any co2 machine. The place is also very clean and the bar area are pretty cool. The staff is much much better than vision. so you shouldnt expect ass#ole bouncers pushing you around to get a autograph after the show. that said the big draw back of the place is the layout. The main dance floor is way to small of this type of venue. The dance floor entends out horizontally , which means that the entire dance floor is not visiable or seen by the dj. to much space was wasted in creating mulitiple rooms instead of focusing on one or two high quality rooms. I just pray the sound bar is smart enough to limit capacity to only 600. It say cap. is 800 but thats for the entire club which included upstairs main floor and down stairs 2nd floor and the east end lounge. 600 people on the main floor of sound bar ) which is a # expectd to show to see PVD) will make that tiny dance floor pretty uncomfortable imo.unless people will be happy enough to spread out and occupy the sides and rear of the floor.

16 more days unitl the show.....

Is it also 37 U$ at the door?
Because last year, when I went to Armin @ Vision, I had to pay 20 U$ for entry and then 5 U$ extra to get on the floor, where Armin was playing.

Because 37 U$ are lot of money. And if Paul plays only 2 hours.
In Munich I pay the half of the price and will see him the double time (4 hours!)

on the other side, I would really like to see the atmosphere if Paul plays in Chicago.

I saw him only a few times in Munich, Dresden and Berlin.

Yea... see... about that... the numbers I've heard quoted to book pvd in the u.s. require rather high ticket prices. I'm sure after several years of jet setting around the world, I might start to make people really really sure they want to see me (i.e. high ticket prices)

I think compared to a show in Germany you will be disappointed if you spend twice the amount to see him for half the time at Soundbar but if you are a fan of Paul's it will probably be worth it either way.

I would almost guarantee they don't let anyone in at the door (will be sold out). I've heard that PVD is $25-30K on weekends...and Soundbar's capacity is not that huge hence the high prices. Will be worth the $37 though!

Yeah it'll be worth it but it still won't compare to SS or Spirit.

On an unrelated note, Sorry Mike. I won't be able to catch your set on 7/17 at the Vic. I'll be out of town that weekend. Just keep posting your shows and I'll definitely make it out to some of them.
