Gave your mix a first listen today..

First of all, your mixing is pretty tight on the beatmatching side of things, I couldn't really hear any major errors. To be honest, I did not really pay 100% attention to it, but still, I think it was pretty good. Major errors can be heard quite easily after all.

The placement of your mixes was sometimes a bit odd in my opinion.. Tracks coming in at moments where I did not expect them, etc. I'm still wondering whether this just a bit of narrowmindedness on my side, or that it is indeed sounding strange, also to other people..

Regarding the mix as a whole, I could not really see anything building up, which is a bit of a letdown to me.. The first three tracks are pretty hard, but the fourth (iirc) was a step back in tempo, which seemed a bit odd to me..

Overall, if you keep mixing as tight as this one, and pay a little more attention to track selection, then I'm looking forward to a new mix..

Tracklist exactly of the type that appeals me...I'll give it a listen...

I must agree with basd about the trackselection but the mixing is very very very tight.

Looking forward to a new set of yours :D

the tracklist doesnt appeal much to me, but all around its pretty good:)

And I have one other thing....spin more records.
You only have 20 tracks in 75 minutes, if you spin more records the mix becomes more exciting.

That does not necessarily have to be the case.. It can make a mix more messy as well.

It all depends on the type of tracks that you are spinning, if the records an sich are interesting enough to let them go for five minutes, then why bother trying to put even more tracks in the mix? That could even ruin everything you want to 'tell' with a mix..

Of course, if you spin only the piss boring Marco Bailey / Ben Sims type of loop-based techno, you'd better put some more tracks in the mix (well, to be honest, you'd better put OTHER tracks into the mix, but that's just my opinion..), otherwise it'll indeed get boring. But it certainly is not a necessity.
