It's nothing to do with inferiority complex.

If you know about the long history that the two countries share, then you know that for so long the english were complete s to the scottish.

What's that got to do with football??

There isn't a single scottish supporter was even alive during those periods so it sounds very much like taking credit for the suffering of other people. And Scotland isn't the only place to be victimised, much of England, Wales and Ireland too.

I have some English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish blood in me, just like many people all over Britain. Don't see what it has to do with football, or anything for that matter.

it has nothing to do with football, but it has everything to do with supporting your country.

You have to understand this is the way most scots still think. They still see England as the country who invaded scotland many hundreds of years ago, took our land, raped our woman and killed our men. Until Scots people forget their history (never gonna happen) then they won't support england at anything.

I don't expect any Scots to support England, I rarely support Scotland. It's constantly supporting whatever team opposes England which is pathetic.

You don't go out and buy a Switzerland shirt because of the Jacobite rebellions, you do that because you have an inferiority complex, a chip on your shoulder.

I don't know any scots person who buys france strips etc. because they are playing against england.

If there are people that do so then I don't blame them because as I said before, we've had english success shoved down our throats for nearly 40 years, so it's always nice to see your commentators silenced.

I haven't seen it this year but certainly the 2002 World Cup there were plenty of people buying Nigeria shirts.
Technaut
tbf ive never seen anyone knocking about with a nigeria top on lol
evil_bastard
I vaguely remember the BBC did a report on the massive sale of Nigeria shirts/flags in Scotland ahead of that game. Not sure why Nigeria, Argentina were more likely to beat us. Think it was because if Nigeria won we wouldn't qualify.
Simcut
haha technaut :P ;)

nah, to be fair, the banter is good, keep it up you scottish slag!!

I was joking on msn btw! now who's taking it seriously :D
