Poly Ring Tones.........

Does anyone know of any sites where I can download cool techno ring tones? I've been searching online, and I found a couple cool sites, but you can only order them if you're in the UK. The US sites had lame songs... like Eifell 65, Darude, ATB, etc...

I have a Nokia 3100, btw....

there is a decent one for the states with a bunch of quality trance tunes (don't know bout techno) for about $2 a pop...

A decent site for ringtones is MatrixM.com, but they do not have anything in the way of decent dance music...

I just have Final Fantasy based ringtones, of which they have a ton.

another way to get free polyphonic ringtones is via the web on your phone if you have WAP services installed

bookmark this site:

http://wap.ring-tones.us

then connect to that site on your phone and search for the tone you want, if they have it, you can download it, the only fees that you have to pay are to connect to the internet on your phone...

I have a new phone. So mine plays Poly and True tones as well... If I buy the cable ($30) I can get any song on my comp and make it into an MP3 ring tone. The good thing is that it sounds like real music.

you're right, it may sound like music, but the quality of the sound ends up being compromised as the speaker that ends up playing the music isn't a full range speaker, it has been tuned for use as a speakerphone and it attenuates voices and stuff... my friend has a p900, it's a PDA and a phone in one, and it can play everything, but when he plays actual songs as his tones, he got really annoyed that they didn't sound right and went back to using full polyphonic tones.

if you have the 3100, then it means that ure either with AT&T, cingular or t-mobile, just call up their customer service number and tell them you need to activate your WAP service. they'll take you through it and you should then be able to connect to the site and download some other ringtones...i actually ended up downloading about 12 different tones, mostly PVD, tiesto, a greece 2000 and a few others...

In most cases they're just .mid files. You can dl any mid file, convert it using the software your phone manufacturer makes (for me its the Nokia data suite), then upload it to your phone by USB cable, IR or bluetooth.
