Big parties are on big weekends (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc., etc.) but every day of the year seems to be a big party on the strip
Vegas.com is a good reference page.

Yea, some of them come to town. PVD, Tiesto, and Armin come to town at least once a year, but sometimes more. Armin was just here over Memorial Day weekend, I'm sure (or hope) he will be back again before the year's end. PVD was here in April or so, not too sure on the date since I didn't go. Tiesto has not been here yet this year, so I'm sure he will be in town later this year...perhaps Halloween again? There always seems to be a big DJ here over Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Other than that you just need to keep your ears open I guess... |

so you mean i miseed armin ? That sucks big time. I would have guranteed gone up for Armin. I have family over there that i can stay iwth and also lots of hawaii people i know.
I would expect vegas to have cutting endge new stuff like the newest dance tracks / newest clubs, but Why are they still stuck with top 40 stuff. |

Yea, he was here over Memorial Day weekend. I’m sure he will be back in California (LA/SF) this fall, hopefully he makes a stop in Vegas as well (On a side note, can anybody tell me why DJs and promotion groups like Spundae don’t include Las Vegas along with LA/SF in west coast swings? Sure, we get some good DJs, but not nearly the amount as LA or SF. It is not like they can’t fill a club here, are there booking problems? There must be a reason for this, any insight?).

Vegas is a tourism driven city, so the nightclubs try to appeal to as many people as possible in order to keep the place packed week in and week out...of course this means the music will remain main stream for the most part.
As far as new clubs, new ones seem to open or be in the works at all times. There is a lot of competition here, so anything that becomes out of date gets remodeled or closes down. We have good clubs, I just hope one day we will have the music to match. |
