| There shouldnt be an age limit to enjoying trance and the club\rave scene that comes with it. The trance scene is relatively new, so people that enjoy it are relativley young. Its like most "old" people listen to the beatles because when they were young thats what was hot. I predict that in some 15 years, you'll see a lot older people clubbing\listening to trance - the older us (unless club\dance scene evolves to something totally different which is inevitable) Hmmm i wonder if that made any sense... |

Perhaps, when your legs start aching after 2 hours of non-stop dancing...
... which leaves me near retirement. With almost 20. I shall kill myself. |

I think once you are in your 30’s, you might be a TAD bit too old to attend any outdoor, "Woodstock" type events (like ultra or a rave), but you can never be too old to go clubbing, or too old to listen to a certain type of music.
My boyfriend’s boss is in his 40’s and he takes us to south beach a lot. He loves to party down there and he likes the music. My mom even says that she wants to go with us sometime. She is 52 (but she looks a lot younger). I’ll probably take her in a couple weeks. I think she’d like it. I’ve played a lot of edm for her and she likes some of it. She likes a lot of the older 80’s tunes that get remixed, like Lexicon Avenue remixes, and some Way Out West too. |

when i used to love hardcore, around 1995, i used to go to a club in my town. there always was a guy aged around 60, dressed the same as all hardcore freaks, bald head, Cavello or Australian sports wear, and he swallowed a lot of pills every night! :eyes:
really nice guy to talk to :) |

Yeah, as getting a bad pill is surely a good way to ruin an evening.
:)
Anyways whoever asked what you do with DJing when you are over 40, ask Nick Warren :) |

| I figure I'll keep going out until my body can't handle it anymore. And even then I'll probably still go, because for me it's mostly about the music, and only nominally about the dancing. Dancing's fun, but it can get boring sometimes. The music doesn't. |

| When you start wondering if you're too old then you should stop going. Not because you're too old, but because you're too lame. |

Nick Warren has never revealed his age tho, I thought it was 42, when asked, he just says OLD.
Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Graham Gold, Frankie Knuckles, Junior Vasquez, Goldie, Sven Vath, Derrick May
list of over 40 and over 50 goes on and on.
If your body can handle clubbing and you like it, go ahead. |

Hey as long as you ain't one of those candy kids that dress up like a in christmas tree, then dance till you die, who gives a about age.
Oh and don't be one of those creepy guys at like 50 who come to the club in a business suit and sit there smoking a cigar looking for cracked out 18yr olds to sleep with.
If I make it to 80 when I die, I'll prolly play PVD - For an Angel at it. |
