| Well, that is not what I expected, but ok. I have heard suggestions more along the lines of mixing alcohol, water, and detergent?? Is that really ok? |

you can use Denatured Alcohol if you really don't have any money
but if you dont mind buying it, just get Stanton Vinyl cleaner or Gruv Glide or something.
don't use water and detergent... |

I've been spinning for 2 years and I've never used a record cleaner, I just wipe my vinyls with a cloth when I put them on the platter everytime. Seriously, whats the point of cleaning them? By the way my vinyls are all in excellent condition.

| I went into a classic rock LP store... and so all their vinyls are atleast 20-40 years old. So I went in there and asked the guy (who at the time was cleaning records) what they used to clean their records and have them last far longer... he told me Diluted Windex... about 2 parts water, 1 part windex. so 2/3 of the bottle wate and 1/3 water (for all the people w/ IQ's less than 100)... I dont know if this is a myth, but seems like this store has been doin it for a while now |
