| i've been flirting with the possibility of getting a tat for a while now. i always thought it would be dope to get angel wings on my back that look like they ripped through my body with blood dripping down and what not. but thats a little too elaborate. so i'm thinking something along the lines of just a simle kanji character on my leg. what say you? |

i got 2 and im working on adding to my 2nd one...for me i found it as an addiction...not a demonstration for anyone else or to be cool but something along the lines of self expression. i currently have one on my neck going down my spine in chinese characters saying my name...represents a name tag? =P....and one around my bicep which is a tribal band outline which breaks and circulates the chinese character for MUSIC...im teetering on making my outline thicker and perhaps moving up my shoulder but i havent came to a solid conclusion on what i should do.
none of us can decide this for you, you have to decide if you want it for urself or u want to show it off to people...if you want to show it off to people you'll learn that it gets played out real quickly since SOOOOO many other people have tat's aswell....oh and another tip...dont go big always go smaller and work to larger..
from what you described as angel wings that may be in a large scale is done in pieces...so it wont be completed in 1 sitting....you might have up to 3-5 sittings....and i personally stay away from colors...black is fine for me...hope u make the choice thats right for you, but from the ink world, its a reminder of how much fun i had during these years of my life....some day i'd like to reflect =P

| My girlfriend is getting one soon, but like I told her - just make sure it's something meaningful to you. Far too many people out there getting tatoos just to be hip and cool. It seems that every other girl has some pointless tribal thing above the crack of their ass, or some guy with "peace" in Japanese on their arms. Personally, I think of tatoos as a very personal form of art, that should be treated with respect, and not as a cheap fashion statement. Even more so since it's permanent, and you'll probably have it for life unless you decide to have it removed one day which is costly and apparently not very comfortable. |

There is some symbolism behind each tattoo I have gotten. Something so meaningful I would permanently place its memory on my body forever.
Before you get a tattoo be sure you feel the same, or as time goes by you will wonder, what the was I thinking. :conf: |
