Hi fellow TAs,
A Night Of Trance's first birthday will be arriving soon (Note: this isn't the July 2nd event) and we are looking for a theme for the party. We want the event to be 100% dress up. The door price will be cheaper for those who have dressed up.
Basically it is a 1st birthday party so it can't be too out of scope.
Some of the ideas we have thought of thus far are:
Dress code: Fancy dress
Dress code: Candy raver
Dress code: ???
As A Night Of Trance is an event for you guys please suggest away. What would be something fun to dress up as or for?
Thanks, Josh |

Hey Josh, just as a warning (from my own experience and from talking to other promoters who have tried it) theme nights rarely attract more then about 5% of people dressing up in Sydney. Syd just doesnt have that sort of crowd.
However, if your really keen on the idea of dressing up (and dont mind the majority of your crowd NOT making the effort or you think im wrong and have more faith in the Sydney crowd then i do...) id reccomend going with a single colour, this has (in my experience) gained the biggest (though still not massive) response. Going for anything more complex doesnt tend to attract more then a handful of dedicated dressers.. :)
Anyway this is just my experience..... so good luck with it!!! :):) |

yeah take sweetchilli for example. They tried to get a red theme happening and there were only a handful of people who dressed up. |

How about progressive as a theme. It's dressed up music. Sure sid, jace and nixy agree (sorry, unfunny joke!)
Themes: Masks/face paint (can have some1 painting in there also)
Themes: Trucker cap
Themes: Cartoon
Themes: Childhood.
