I do agree, PVD does play Crush in every set, as well as many other of his productions, but I have never seen him live before, so I don't mind !! In 2 weeks I am going to see him.

I heard a remix of white stripes - seven nation army, and a remix of nirvada - teen spirit in one oakenfold set in november 2003 in Toronto!! Soooo awful I stopped dancing and shook my head, I wanted to run out of the place. I also get angry when a DJ spins as the rush comes, YUCK.

both of them were adam freeland remixes

i totally hate the aF remix of nirvana

and the white stripes version is decent

Say what?! I don't care how many times I hear it...I still get just as pumped up every time, even though it's more than a year ago I fell in love with it....this is the one and only track that I after such a long time haven't got sick of... :)

It's up to personal opinion I think.. I just can't stand the (imo) cheesyness of it. I must admit, it does do its job on a dancefloor pretty well.. But just not to me.

What's so cheesy about it? I sure as hell haven't heard anything that sounds like Murder Was The Bass before..

First of all I don't say it IS cheesy, I say I think it is :)

And sure it is different from the majority of techno tracks around, but that does not make it less cheesy for me. Main reason I think it is, is because of that horribly simplistic melody / bassline which I just can't stand. The fact is has been played to death by every DJ around here (and not just the techno DJs) does not contribute to my opinion either (though I know this has nothing to do with the cheesyness of the track an sich, you know what I mean)..

Another thing I don't like it the way it is used by too many DJs to reach a sudden high in an otherwise boring set.. I've heard quite a few sets that didn't get any positive reaction from the crowd, until Murder.. was played. Sure, I do know that the power of that track is that it appeals to a lot of people and that it can cause a good moment on the dancefloor, but I have seen it used by too many a DJ just to get an 'easy score', if you know what I mean..

But I have to repeat that I didn't even like it the first time I heard it. It's not just because it has been overplayed.

Aye, that set will go down as one of the worst sets in history:

01: Tomcraft - Lonliness (Klub mix) vs. James Bond riff [Kosmo]
02: Don Diablo - Acceleration (Svenson & Gielen remix) [ID&T]
03: Fabio MC - Return Of Memory
04: Justin Timberlake vs Rank 1 - Luv yur Awakening [Bootleg]
05: KOT vs. Driftwood - Finally a Freeloader (Green Martian mix) [Bootleg]
06: Hi Gate - Hurricane [Incentive]
07: Micheal Woods - Solex vs. Dajae - Everyday of my Life
08: Angelic - Cant Keep me Silent (Original mix) [Serious]
09: Darren Tate & Mike Koglin pres. Cota - Waiting [White Label]
10: Body-Shock - Break This (Bonzai Uk)

I was there and I couldnt believe that Timberlake bootleg, I was near crying with despair
