Nintendo! ..hehe..the first thing that popped into my head when I started to listen to this...
the break at 1.31 seems like a completly new song...you should make that transition smoother somehow, perhaps introduce that new melody earlier, and btw, that melody is very nice.
when the climax comes at 2.10 it's IMO way to abrupt, there is no buildup into the climax...the rest of the feels very "confusing"..stressed...there are so many elements that itīs hard to hear any of them clear, itīs just a big blend of melodies that dont seeem to go together..almost panic like. Im having trouble finding the right words but hopefully you understand what Im trying to say.
the piano melody sounds to be very nice, but itīs hard to make out anything because its such a mess...maybe try to cut one or two elements, or lower the volume on some. Increase the lead that comes in at 2.10 and boost the piano and lower the rest, make those two the main elements in the track.
As I said, I really like the melody it 2.10 but it comes in way to abrupt and the buildup to the climax needs to be "announced" earlier...right now it just comes in abruptly...have a drumroll or something to make the transition smoother.
The toms/congas you have in the beat are too loud IMO.
Overall your melodies shows potential to be something good, but I think you need to work with the arrangement of the melodies. How and when they are introduced.
