Trance isn't pvd or tiesto!Trance is community and all of us.What pvd would be if there is no producents who makes good music, millions of artists?
In my opinion pvd or tiesto are not so good producents but they have great past and very well dj skills.I think they are so big cose of dj-ing.Pvd is good dj,but production is repetitive and there is planty of others who have a better work.
However, they are good DJs!But production is something different, produciton is all people, all community!I think that production must be threated better that dj-ing,but today dj is god, nobody on party don't think about artist who made these tunes...i guess you understand my me and my english:) |

The bottom line here revolves around one word : Seniority.
Tiesto, Ferry, and Paul van Dyk were there when Trance exploded in the 98-00 era. Can you imagine what it felt like in those days to hear masterpieces in the making, such as Out of the Blue, Silence (ISOS Remix), the Magiks, Gouryella, For an Angel, Another Way, Sparkles, Adagio for Strings... these songs and compilations are timeless in the trance genre. If you listen to these examples of songs and compilations, they are still excellent. These three guys deserve much more respect and appreciation than some of the newer producers. Some other producers named might not be so new, but they didn't churn out the masterpieces in their factories of sound like Tiesto, Ferry, and Paul van Dyk did. These guys are lasting, and they are still sounding excellent, even as they evolve. You can't see any new artists evolve because they haven't been here long enough to brand their style.
When newer producers prove they can stand the test of time and still produce great music, they will also receive the respect they deserve. |

Can someone tell me what is the big deal with Ferry... |
Ferry came out with:
1) Veracocha - Carte Blanche (with Vincent De Moor)
2) System F - Out of the Blue
and
3) Gouryella - Gouryella
ALL IN THE SAME YEAR!
Now THATS Talent!
Talk about 3 songs that defined trance at the time... |
