when you request a track to avb he plays it right away...he wouldnt mind pictures or signatures, and he would play the ammount of time he was supposed to play...a lot of people were complaining about this and i have heard it a lot recently...
it should be probably jetlag i agree...

Well, yeah, if I got a request, I'd certainly throw it down (if it fit the atmosphere, of course), but when you guys asked, did he look busy?

i didnt know taking requests was part of the job?

I think the fact that it was a 2 hour set, and he wanted to play his best tracks.

If you are a big shot DJ, don't you think it would be a little bit insulting for people to start making requests.....it sort of says that you aren't really feeling what he is playing.

On the other hand, DJs often play tracks that people bring in, or they play stuff when people hold up big signs in front of the booth.

I saw him in January. It was his last gig of his tour down under but he shook hands with fans afterwards and signed cd's etc. People also held signs up and he played some of the tunes that were displayed.

maybe he was in a ty mood. :conf:

i guessed that's exactly what happened...bad mood or simply not his best day...but it got me to think because i remember he used to behave with fans differently back in the day...maybe he still the same but not last night

When Anthony Pappa played in LA last year, I asked him if he could play Freefall - Skydive, his own production. He turned me down, but explained to me that it wouldn't go with the flow of his set.

Not trying to defend Tiesto, but sometimes DJs do that because it would disrupt the set's flow.

Dude If I was Tiesto and I got ppl requesting pics, autographs and other stuff all day long I would also tell them to get a life and FECK OFF!

And another thing don't ask a dj to spin a record a good dj has already planned what to play.

But if I got paid the rediculous amount of money that he was making per gig, I'd be signing autographs after the gig (as long as I did not have to catch a plane somewhere).

About playing requests, feck off and let the dj play what he wants, afterall, that is what he is paid to do.
deibero
you're right...explain and dont play it but dont just walk away because that's not nice...
and a dj has the basic structure of their set planned but they cant get to a club knowing exactly what to play because they have to read the crowd reaction...so i will have to disagree with you...

exactly, chances are he's probably tired as and planned out his set and just wants to drop the mother****** and get some sleep so give him a ing break, it's not a track request show so just let him pick, but ya, if you really wanted him to play "A Tear in The Open" then you should have made a sign or really let him know you wanted it played.

i was just ing requesting a song man...that's done all the time in livesets...that's just one case, but i have heard a lot lately about tiesto being an ass...that's what i asked to see your opinions...i wasnt stating anything...now that we concluded that it's not true i guess there's nothing else to say about this

Maybe in your local bar or at a school dance, not when a huge name is behind the decks. No wonder he got annoyed...
