In the other thread I said:
"Cafe Del Mar was released on a compilation called 'An Introspective of House' (highly recommended btw) in 1994. It must therefore have been released before then."
It *was* re-released in late 1997 on Hooj Choons to chart success.
This is true in the UK at least.
