Hi,
I'm thinking of buying second hand CDJ-100s player for about 220 euro.
Is it worth buying? I need cd player, because i have few cd single and i will learn how to use DJ cd-player.
Post your opinion about this CDJ-100s.
Thank you. :) |

It's the best you can get for that much money... but more than 1 person I know bought them, but now are regretting not buying the CDJ800s or 1000s. They're good to start, but you will outgrow them if you find yourself to enjoy DJing. |

i got a numark axis 9, i've used both and i prefer the axis 9. more (and better) features and cheaper. the pioneer will probably last longer in the long run, but as ibiza dreams said, you will grow out of them anyway and will probably want to get something better eventually. |

well, basically, in it's range, it is one of (if not the) best. now you'll probably like it, but end up wanting the bigbrother versions, ie. the CDJ-800 and the CDJ-1000. still, they're both pretty expensive, and learning to use one of the "smaller" cd players is quite an advantage. some of my dj friends own a 1000 and a 100, just so they learn to use both, and don't have to spend all the money 2 big ones would cost. |

i think they're good! very good! only one complaint! the pitch is only 0.1% so you might not get it accurate enough every time. other than that they're ing brilliant IMO and i can't figure out what other features would a trance dj need for a cd player!:D |

iv got 2 they are great players. they are really really basic but then its just like haveing turntables, you only get really basic features so it doesnt really bother me. they will last for ages |

yeah the pitch precision is only 0.1%, but i find that when using them with turntables, it really isnt a problem as you can make the tiny un-noticable adjustment with the pitch fader on the deck (the only problem with this is when you have 3+ tracks on the go)
i still think there are better cd decks than the cdj100s within this price bracket.. for a start i hate stutter-start cd decks, they ought to put a scratch start function in, the jog wheel is terd, it has 3 effects (which arn't the best selection from pioneer's fx units), the pitch bend only does +/- 10% (you can get awesome effects from using +/-100% coupled with keylock, another thing the 100 doesnt have), it has no scratch mode. all of which a numark axis 9 has (and more) for 15 cheaper.
but once you get up to the 800's and 1000's, there really isnt any competition. |
