The most euphoric track you've ever heard?

Only recently have I seriously started looking into trance. I've always loved it, but I could never find a good source (KTU sucks)I've been checking some suggestions like Tiesto,Xpander,PvD, and others mentioned on this board, but that's all everyone talks about!
What are some real good tracks that just put you in a state of euphoria and almost FORCE you to dance (if you are a trance addict you have to know what I mean)? I mean like you're driving through the city at night and it's breezy, then you turn on the radio and hear a track that makes everyone in the car want to dance.
Like those old 96 to 99 songs that used to be played in those small clothing stores. Remember, I wasn't into trance when these came out, so I don't know any names for suggestions. Remember the feel I'm looking for, nightime, its breezy, you're with your friends/family cruising through the city through the bright lights, like manhattan new york lights. Please only post the cheezy commercial trance/dance songs that are simple but do the trick. These new tracks don't cut it anymore! |

To clear things up, I'm not looking for anything really creative or unprecedented. I've lurked around checked some examples on this specific board, but I don't exactly get happy when I listen to them.
Don't get me wrong, Xpander & Urban Train are hot but I'm looking for the old really mainstream dance tracks that were heard on all those radio stations in the malls. I need your help because I don't want to go around stupidly buying all those mix cd's with one good song and pure crap throughout.
Please note I'm looking for "feel" and/or dance inducing tracks that make you happy. And it's a plus if they're cheezy.
A crappy list off the top of my head for the feel I'm looking for (some songs, are id'ed just by quotes)
Scatman John: Scatman
Haddaway: What is love?
Cher: Believe
Daft Punk: One More Time
Bloodhound Gang: Discovery Channel
"I got the power" song
"Everybody dance now" song
The mortal kombat movie theme song...
Lasgo - Alone
the girl singing "runaway, runaway" song (only thing I can remember)[the video is her running away on a bridge at daytime. Circa 97-00 right? huge hit if i'm not mistaken.]
"I Like To move it, move it"
Backstreet Boys- "Everybody, yeah, yeah, Move your body, yeah, yeah"
"Where do you go? My darling...I wanna know" <-just that part, after that the song is
"Go Ninja,Go Ninja Go!!" Ninja Turtle Movie
Nirvana- Teen Spirit
Alice Deejay(?)- Do you think your better off alone?
Eiffel 65- Blue
Amber-This is your night
Around the World-ATC
In a Dream- Rockell
I Turn to you- Melanie C. (just chorus)
Gloria Estafan-Turn the Beat Around
Madonna- Like a Prayer
C'mon Ride The Train- Quad City DJ's
Oooh Ah.. Just a Little Bit- Gina G (just chorus)
Aqua- Barbie Girl (just chorus)
T.a.T.u- All the things she said (just chorus)
^I know those were disgusting examples, but that's all I can think of for now, my mind's blank and I don't really look for names on certain songs, even if they're hits. Those are just examples of the feel I'm talking about that I get when they're played in the nightime environment. Those songs aren't my usual style or my preference, but sometimes I like them. |

I love these despite them being overplayed on the radio when they were new. Somehow they survived.
Snap! - The Power
Snap! - Rythm is a Dancer
Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam
Crystal Waters - Gypsy Woman
Reel 2 Real Featuring The Mad Stuntman - I Like To Move It (Eric 'More' Club Mix)
Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Club Mix)
Robin S - Show Me Love
The Braxtons - The Boss (M.A.W. Mix)
Stardust - The Music Sounds Better With You
Looking at the list you posted I have to recomend you getting a "best of the 90's" cd. Every track (except Madonna's & Gloria Estefan's) are 90's pop anthems and should be very easy to find.
Oh... and Madonna's "Get Into The Groove" is the ultimate! |
