Why scotland aren't at euro 2004!

Because we have an idiot for a coach.
In the national tabloid today here in scotland they had an interview with vogts which was assessing our chances of making world cup 2006.
As you all know italy are in the scottish group and the main part of the interview was centred around the subject of italy's weaknesses. I was expecting to read things about their tempremant (which I did) and their missed chances in the euro competition(which I did). But I nearly fell off my seat crying with laughter when he said Italy's main weakness was the centre back pairing of nesta and cannavaro.:conf:
How can a man expect to be taken seriously when he makes such moronic statements. Does he not actually watch the game that is unfolding in front of his very eyes. Now I know italy have been poor in the tournament and are more than likely going out before the group stages, but imo nesta and cannavaro are the most sound back pair in the world without a shadow of a doubt.

moronic statements maybe, but the man won the Euro Champs with Germany in '96, he's a proven manager.
I know the old saying a good workman never blames his tools but in this case there is an exception, Scotland are :D :p |

But it doesn't answer your question, the reason why you are not at Euro 2004 is that the Dutch team kicked your arses with 6-0. The Hell from Amsterdam :D |

I agree Cannavaro is a great defender! That is why I have selected him in my Football Fantasy team, but now he is booked twice and suspended for the next game :(
