| Hello Illinois' people!!! I wanted to know who are the ones in this board that study, or will join this Fall to the university? |

I don't think there are any current Illini on the board.
But I can give you a few minor tips about the place seeing as I lived in the town for 15 years before and including my 4 years in school.
Bar entry age in Champaign is 19, in Urbana 18 and of course it is 21 to drink anywhere. (last time I checked, but of course I have not had to worry about it in years)
That's Rentertianment on Sixth and John is the best video store around. Get a renter's block and go there instead of blockbuster or hollywood, it is cheaper and they have the best sleection around.
If you have a car, the Campus Parking Nazis are just that, nazis. Feed the meters, follow the rules otherwise you will get a nice running total on your next tuition bill if you registered your car with the U. If you have a tuition scholarship that covers fees as well, they will get paid by your scholorship as fees though :D (I learned that freshamn year and it did wonders for my quarter stash).
The fundamentalist preachers spouting their "hellfire and brimstone" on the quad most afternoons are quite fun to watch, especially when the hecklers are in full effect.
If I may ask, what are you planning on studying?
Feel free to ask me any questions about the place and I should be able to answer them, I was actually down there this weekend to see my mom and hang out with some old friends, and I found out that a lot of the bars have changed names or closed or both.

Hey...i also attend uiuc...will be at tiesto tomorrow (today)!! Advice: Check out Emac (Electronic Music appreciation club) on campus, its a brilliant organization which deals with all spheres of electronic music...

| I have a few friends that go to U of I, sometimes there is someone good playing at the Canopy Club. I go to Southern Illinois Carbondale and we don't have for clubs and the one stupid caveman |

| I want to get into engineering there, but my grades are not stellar. I have very high aspirations to get into the engineering program, but I know I will be let down. Anyone take engineering there? |
