| I think you missed the point completely. I'm not happy that it happened but the same thing is happening to these terrorists who have beheaded 3 people in Iraq already. I wonder how they will like a taste of their own medicine. |

i dunno... from past examples, i would think it would justify their cause (to them) and they will be more violent. |

Are you stupid?
How can the death of anyone be revenge, killing the prisoners in Iraq and the Taliban fighters were both pathetic acts carried out by heartless human beings. They are different countries and I think that they are two different types of people, they may have the same cause in mind but I still think it is pathetic. |

Which 4 1/2 billion people are you referring to?
And as for the Christian comment....
I'm no MOD. I'm not MOD material, but I DON'T have to be a MOD to say, let's not throw religion in the mix like this. We have enough crap on here as it is, we don't need another flame war of this sort on TA. |

I am deeply saddened by the events. I anticipate more atrocities in the near future as the US tries to hand over power. Belive the best way to accomplish this is to lift weapons hold status and strike where we know terrorists to reside, knowing this will cause civilian casualties. I do not believe a sympathetic population hiding the terrorists should abate our wrath for the barbaric acts of the terrorists. Message needs to be clear: You harbor terrorists, and you are aiding and abeting the cause and are therefore fair game as well.

there are approximately 6 and a half billion people living right now on earth.
2 billion are reported christians. i said all 2 billion were going to heaven out of the benefit of doubt, though i would doubt it as so many are "casual christians" who really don't know what they believe.
I'm sorry but when i see threads like these blown out of proportion, with absolutely no perspective, it bothers me. Its like billions of people are being tortured and someone's complaining about some guy's stubbed toe. |
