Hey guys,
I am experiencing a bought of curiousity. I am wondering what Canadians are taught are the reasons why we rebelled. In the US, we raised to understand that we were oppressed and hit up with a ton of taxes to basically finance the British Empire. This is a simplification but it's the gist. I wonder what is explained in Canada and probably England about the revolution. |

as far as I know, its those same reasons.
But then again, I didn't take American History, and the General History courses are focused on Canadian history.
p.s. Sorry we lit your White House on fire. |

I guess I'm being patriotically curious as 4th of July nears ;) I am just curious what Canadian and British History says about us.
p.s. Sorry we threw all of you royalists and loyalists out of the country when we won :P

In Canada, we were taught that Americans were too cheap to pay for taxes.
