| Uhm, im just another question about powercores again. The v-station, I know its available as a powercore but does it differ to the version which does not require a powercore, or are they the same thing? Where as the virus powercore is supposed to use exactly the same sound engine as the virus b, whats the deal with the v-station? I presume its different as it sounds different to the k-station. Im confused, if you can use the v-station without a powercore card why cant you use the virus without one? Is the virus more processor heavy? |

well it isn't available yet.. and probably won't be for quite a while.. so no one can really answer this..
but i would imagine it sounds the same as the hardware.. which as stated before, isn't much of a change.. i imagine they fixed the filters and cleaned it up a little bit..
the reason they can do this with the powercore, is becuase (as stated by TC) the powercore allows them to tranfser their best algorithms right from the hardware onto the powercore since most hardware runs on motorola DSPs (the same ones that are in the powercore)
whereas the modern PC runs on the x86 architecture which isn't compatable with most coding intended for the motorola DSP |
