I'm planning on going down to Budapest from Poland at the end of July for a couple of days. I need some info on cheap hotels in the downtown area, as well as info on some "Event Center", where Sasha will be spinning on July 23rd (eg. prices, guestlist, etc.).
Any help will be appreciated. |

I think sasha will be playing in Events Hall. I do think that hotel fares are expensive as in downtown, but I don't know if there is anything else beside it:( Tickets shouldn't cost more than 4000 or 5000 HUF, that's like 15-20 euros.
I'll inform you if i find out more about this. |

Events Hall is situated on a small island close to the Buda end of Árpád bridge (Árpád híd), 2-3 minutes walking distance to the north along the river and across a small pedestrian bridge. People will usually know where Dokk Café is which is of help to you as Events Hall is actually attached to it. |

Thanks for the replies guys. Helpful stuff :)
We're most likely going to be staying at the Marriott in Budapest, since I can get a sweet-ass discount (unless there's a cheap hotel thats also close to the Events Hall that you guys can recommend?).
Also, how strict is security for these events? Basically, I wanna know if I gotta take my "vitamins" before I go inside, or after :p
And how expensive are cabs in Budapest?
Anyways, I think thats it for now. Anything else that we should know about, let us know guys :)

Budapest was one of my favorite places to visit on my Eastern European vacation last year. I must say the food, the food, THE FOOD!!!!! OMG...
Wow I don't even remember the name of our hotel...or the cost since it was figured in with the total cost of the trip. I would love to go back though! Have fun!!!:gsmile: |

If you're willing to pay a Marriott category price and if closeness to the club seems to matter to you, why don't you check Aquincum Corinthia Hotel? Some 300 meters from Events Hall, NOT cheap at all but very probably less expensive than Marriott. (Obviously you lose Marriott's really prime city center location.)
Vitamins, if not obviously displayed, are usually not a problem to bring into clubs. (I suppose you bring them for yourself.)
As far as cabs are concerned, "normal", branded ones should cost a bit less than 1€/km plus approx 1€ basic fee. That means, not very expensive. |

the only reason why we'll be staying at the Marriott is because I work for the company and get a sweetass discount (49.00 euro/per night). I would NEVER pay the regular room price, which is more than double 49.00euro.

Of course.
I guess that's pretty much it. We managed to get a pretty good price for train tickets. All we need now are the event tickets. Which leads to my next question :)
Do you guys know when tickets for this event will go on sale? And once they do go on sale, could you PLEASE PM me or Japan_4 and let us know.
Also, is there any place online where I could order tickets? We're arriving in Budapest on the 29th, and I don't wanna wait till then to get the tickets (in case they're sold out!).
I emailed the promotor, and all he gave me was 2 locations(Underground Rec. and DJ Service) in Budapest, with phone numbers. I won't call those places until I get to Budapest, so that info is useless to me now. And like I said, I don't want to arrive in Budapest and find out that the event is completely sold out.
Thanks A LOT :) |
