At this moment, it is 12:55A.M. here in NYC...it has indeed been respectively quiet throughout....I work in Manhattan (midtown) and let me tell you, what I have experienced today has left me traumatized. As I crossed the bridge by foot (to get home) All I could see was the thick smoke that covered much of downtown Manhattan...this has left me breathless. I can't sleep and am absolutely lost for words. All over the news, all I have seen is complete, updated coverage on this whole tragedy. Gruesome pictures being shown time and time again of this horrific event....I can't close my eyes because it replays in my head....I can only tell you how TERRIFIED I am to know how vulnerable I, as well as many others, are at this point. The thought of having to step into Manhattan to go back to work TERRIFIES ME. I am sure I am not alone on this when I say that I am absolutley dumb founded and unable to believe what has occured here in NYC. My condolences go out to those whos families, friends, etc. are still missing, as well as those who have been declared deceased........
PEACE. |

| Thanx for sharing your story Caroline. It's good to hear that you got out okay. I'm stuck in Jersey and I can't make it into NY to be with my family. I've spoken to them, and they're alright... but it would be comforting still to be able to be with them. I hope that all your loved ones are okay... and we all hope that you can get past this and move on with your life... that's the ultimate victory... showing that we're strong as Americans... and even more specifically NEW YORKERS and continue with our lives. |

| I'm glad to hear you all are ok. Caroline you're not alone..everyone is sooo shocked over this. Many people including myself could not sleep last nite. We all need to join together and take care of one another. What has happened will change us forever but we need to go on in respect for the people who have lost their lives...we've got to not let these terrorist accomplish what they sent out to do....they wanted to instill a huge fear into us and we can't let them!! Take care both of you and please post any feelings that you're going through...we can all help each other out! |

I havent lost any hope.....our nation is strong and shall prevail.
Thankfully, everyone has been so helpful and everyone has come together as a family to show their love and caring concern for our brothers and sisters who live in this civilized beautiful city.
Nothing will stop us now....nothing.
Again, my heart goes out to all victims. |

we across the waters in the u.k are also feelin utter shock at what has happened to your beautiful city.i'm sure as you are aware that this has affected british people exceeding in my own opinion the death of our princess of wales.we are feeling desperate and helpless.we see the scenes on the t.v 24/7 and our tabloids talk of nothing else, even our nightclubs and bars are half full with paul van dyk not appearing at gatecrasher as a mark of respect, in fact all tickets sold are goin directly to the relief fund in new york.
we unite with you in this horrible horrible tragedy, hopein that this will never happen again!
god bless and keep safe. |

| Yes, It's absolutely horrible. HORRIBLE. Im so content with the fact we have all gathered as a family to support one another.....this is what it should be like....this is what life is all about. Unity, strength, love and the support for a people. This feeling alone gives me a sense of hope for a better situation. :) |
