The boys from "Ahead", England's newest club joining us tonight!
Markus Schulz starts us off with the Essentials! Markus Schulz leads of the
broadcast with his signature dark melodic sounds. Markus sends us this
amazing set from the current leg of his European tour.
Scott Bond makes his debut on the Broadcast! The name is Bond, Scott Bond,
license to DJ, spin records and thrill crowds. Surely he can't be serious
with a name like that? Quite the contrary, he's deadly serious.
At 31 years old, Scott Bond is notoriously one of the most successful young
DJs, co-promoters and producers in the UK and as the above shows he is no
stranger to success. For years Scott was resident at Sheffield super club
'Gatecrasher', the club he co-promoted with Simon Raine from 1994 to 2004,
as well as playing at other popular clubs around the country and the world.
Since 1987, Scott has spread his wings as far a field as U.S.A, Australia,
New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia,
Canada, Mexico, Norway, Ibiza, Italy, turkey, Denmark, Finland, and the
legendary trance club 'Dorien Grey' in Frankfurt Germany. One of the
highlights of his career involved playing to a 25,000 capacity crown for
gatecrasher millennium event at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium.
Scott is not only a celebrated dj and promoter. He manages to fit studio
time into his hectic schedule to produce tracks that are known and played
all around the world. Scott's latest productions, collaborations with Solar
Stone, have included the enchanting 'Third Earth' and 'Naked Angel' which
includes a haunting piano riff and vocal. Both tracks had huge support from
the worlds top DJ's and became anthems in clubs worldwide. Scott and Solar
Stone's new track 'The Red Line Highway' is already creating a storm and
getting plays on Armin Van Buuren's 'A State of Trance' radio show and Paul
Van Dyk's 'Sound garden' show despite there only being 6 cdrs out there.
Past tracks include remix's of Shimon Wolfsons' top 40 hit "Sundance" and
Kamasutra's "Storm in my Soul" . in 1995 Scott formed Q:Dos and in 1998
created the legendary anthem "I'm Not Going Home" . Scott is still producing
so watch out for more tracks over the coming months!
Since leaving gatecrasher Scott has teamed up with long time friend and one
time promoter of the legendary club 'Fantazia' Andrew Gallagher and created
a new club brand called 'Ahead' . The pair decided to team up after a
successful stint together promoting the club 'gatecrasher' in its hay day.
After holding only one event and releasing only one album the Ahead name is
already being talked about world wide and is regarded as the newest and most
exciting movement in club land for years.
So what next for Scott? Expect new tracks from him and Solar Stone that will
be played t clubs all over the world. Look out for his new record label
'Made in England' which will release some of the newest tracks around that
help Scott pioneer his unique sound. Listen out for new albums mixed by
Scott to reflect the 'Ahead' club sound, and watch out for the new and
exciting 'Ahead' club name as it goes from strength to strength and creates
a new movement in clubbing world wide!...the world is not enough for Scott.
Ben Lost returns to the Broadcast! After spending seven successful years as
a vocalist in various rock bands, Ben Lost began his career in dance music
when he joined Pinnacle Distribution in 1999. Ben began spending many of
his weekends at UK clubs such as Gatecrasher and The Gallery, where DJ sets
from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Dave Seaman and Paul Van Dyk had a heavy
influence on Ben's musical taste.
It was these influences which led Ben to join Hooj with a view to
developing their offshoot label Lost Language Records. During his time as
head of A&R at Lost Language, Ben has been responsible for the release of
over 35 tracks including Solar Stone's 'Solar Coaster' and 'Seven Cities',
Accadia's 'Blind Visions', Energy 52's Café Del Mar and Lustrals' Broken.
As the Lost Language label has grown, so has Ben's profile as a DJ. His
unique melodic and emotional sound is reflective of the records released on
Lost Language.
After recently being approached by legendary UK promoter and DJ Scott Bond,
Ben is delighted to have signed as resident DJ at Scott's new club based
project 'Ahead' - an event which looks set to change the face club land and
further increase Ben's profile as one of the most exciting talents in the
scene.
