I did a search and came up with nothing for this so I thought I would post it up here for all you guys (if its a re-post let me know and I'll delete it). I got an email about a contest that Sasha is having to create a new song using samples that he has provided at the website below. I thought you guys might want to check it out and enter it.

What a load of cack. You basically have to use that program if you want in, and it costs $499

Ah well, I may download the samples anyway & play around with them
isoterra
Err actually.. there appears to be a link to download it when you sign up to get the samples

I take that back ;)

hmm, never tried ableton live, want to get into it for live stuff, so this might be a good opportunity to get to know it

you can always make loops with whatever sequencer you want and use them in ableton

To enter the contest, compose a song in Ableton Live using the original elements that Sasha has provided, then burn a CD (containing both a self-contained Ableton Live file and the folder that contains the samples),

HOW IN LAME IS THAT? :whip:

I was quite impressed with Ableton Live... I loaded up some Involver and ADD samples and got some pretty good sounding short tracks in a few minutes. Ofcourse it helps when the samples are made by Sasha & co... Anyway, Ableton seems to be a pretty handy tool when it comes to remixing tracks or just having fun messing around.
