at first, I think Melburn won't be the place to stay 3 monts for me.. :nervous:
@ Angelo: so Sidney sounds very good... but how you say... it's fu**ing expensive! The just the english-school is twice as it is at cold coast. Do you know more about that sunset-thing? Is there a HP oer something? |

and in the way of djing there is a event coming up called sunset project which might be good to look into as it does cater to trance :D

So long as you dont mind djing in front of a crowd of teeny boppers!!
Whats got 100 legs and only 1 pubic hair? The front row of a sunset project event... :D:D |

yeah sunset project is an under 18s event so i would prob give it a miss :)
surfers is great for beaches but the clubbing scene is pretty . the clubs there mainly play commercial/r&b music :nervous: if u r coming at the end of the yr then there should be good events on in most places as we get more internationals coming over during summer. that said i think sydney is the best choice as u will get decent clubs and nice beaches that r just as good if not better than surfers imo :) |

there are a few good things in sydney that are not restricted to u18's
for example
-utopia
-hyperspeed
-godspeed(which is just around the corner)
there are also strictly over 18's event
like transmission(there are probobly more but i can't think of them off the top of my head):haha: ill let you know when i remember:haha: |

yeh sydney has more events that are 'all ages', usually 15 or 16 and above?
melbourne...there are none, except for lame & cheesy teen events.
gold coast/surfers, are very strict on checking IDs, especially if its around schoolies time! |

There's actually crapload of over 18s clubbing and partying in Sydney, though most of it isn't trance.
You're right though, Sydney is fast becoming one of the most expensive cities in the world... |

melbourne = bigger and more diverse clubbing scene
sydney = huge commercial scene
(preparing to be flamed) |

The good ol' Sydney/Melbourne rivalry is back!! :D
Basically DJ Revibe what are you here for mainly??
Do you want the best beaches in aus, sunshine and a complete lack of Trance nightlife (though with apparently a heap of rnb, commercial e clubs) and a heap of pubs and beautiful people - if so go the gold coast...
If you want pretty much the exact same as described but with a few more clubs (only a few more) and a few more bogans - go brisbane.
If you want the most diverse city in aus, with SOME good beaches, pretty good weather, the largest number of pubs in the southern hemisphere, and some good trance, but at a VERY high cost - go sydney.
If you want the best clubbing in aus, NO beaches, NO sunshine, reasonable pricing, the premier sporting events and lots of diversity - go melbourne.
If you want warm temperatures, some good beaches, some good trance nights (though a very small community), a small city, but a thousand kilometers from anywhere else in aus - go perth.
If you want slightly better weather then melbourne but not up to sydney or perth, a cheap city, some trance, and Gumble - Go adelaide.
If you want porn, politics, pyrotechnics, pot, and freezing weather - go canberra.
That just about covers all the major cities... Have fun choosing!! :) |
