English Fans

We are now out of the tournament, and i would just like to say that our boys in Portugal were supported absolutely brilliant these last few weeks. We always had more bums in seats than any other nation, and although there were officially 17,000 tickets allocated to English fans for Portugal game, it is estimated that we had 40,000 fans there, against the "host" nation Portugal.

We gave this tournament what it is and are a pride to our nation.
I think that the "hooligan" tag put with English fans has been flawed these last few weeks, as it proves that we arn;t what people think about us. We are just pasionate fans full of pride and supporting our nation.

Well done lads (and lasses;) )

Respect !

Was always fun to watch the matches when England played cause of the massive support from the English supporters... You can even see how the judges are smiling wide as they enter the green grass :)

I think they have behaved impecible there. we kept many trouble makers home, but the focus is always on ours, theres a core in most countries but we're usually a scapegoat. I think they've done really well and people should start realising that we're not all like those few sad ones

It would have been a great semi-final: The Netherlands vs. England!
The Orange army against The Red and White army!

"Come on England in Germany (2006)!"

well that's only cuz all the hooligans couldn't buy tickets since their names are known. these hooligans are still there, and to think they are all suddenly gone for just 1 cup, doesn't mean they won't be back again...

ehhmmm, you know, The netherlands would have to beat Sweden as well. they've not done that yet. Maybe in a few hours, but not quite yet. :)

yeah the english fans were great, probably contributed a lot to the atmosphere, but the minority was always there to cause trouble. even taking in count the bias the media always has against them, every single fan violence problem there seemed to been linked with the english. the albufeira night :nervous:

something that nobody seemed to talk about in these forums... did you see the news about violence and tense situations with portuguese people in england? a thousand fans in new jersey threatening to confront a bunch of people that was celebrating the victory.. people breaking the glasses of some portuguese restaurant or something like that.. that's just ing disgusting. i know not all english people are like that, and we have our bunch of retards too, but it's ing disgusting.

well it seems english fans couldn't cope with the alcohol again. 1500 hooligans were fighting with the police on the island of Jersey, an island where 10% of the people is portugese.

gg england

you moan when we keep the fans at home, you moan when we don't, end of the day it's better having to let our police deal, there were problems with dutch/germans and other countries too, it's not right that it happens, but it nearly always will, and nobody here can stop that

Can't really argue with that one. Sad as it is, it's true. There's always a minority who spoil it, moreso in this country than most others it seems :(
