Sorry for the late jump in guys, working @ O'Grady's during pride week was quite the challenge. (but being beside the beer garden spoiled me with the best dj's in the city.. but I missed Sarah's set @ the docks :( )
As one of our old skool TAs, Jon was a little befuddled with why PartyHarlequin was posting so much about BOA. Since Jon isn't here he isn't privy to knowing the staff of all the clubs like those of us who are deeply involved in the scene here, and I bet many ppl locally were unaware as well.
Hell, I see Noah out every weekend and didn't know he was on TA as PartyHarlequinn until about 2 weeks ago, the joy of matching screen-nicks with the faces we know and love when out and about. (Sarah, remember that lurker who came up to us @ BOA after Fukhouse? *chuckle* he even introduced himself as a lurker)
Perhaps the new event forum and sig rules are a contributing factor to those of us who promote being kept somewhat handcuffed right now as to identifying and spreading the word out that we work for clubs. Noah certainly hasn't kept it a secret, but the fact that everything is spread out right now, and the fact that you can't mention your own email addy/guestlists in your sig should anyone want to get ahold of you is bloody ridiculous, and I'm leaving my edited sig in as a protest.
I'm sure people take everthing that I say with a grain of salt knowing that I am working with Linda M right now over @ System, as they do when anyone who works in the industry posts something. I personally have a serious distaste for the politics involved as I like the residents, staff, crowds, and spaces of quite a few competing clubs in this city, and am fortunate enough to count many of them as friends.
I am going to continue enjoying the best this city has to offer, where-ever that may be, politics be damned.... we are bloody spoiled in this city, and I'm loving it :D |

I sent the PM like 4 days prior to the thread, he wrote back "no, I just really love the place!!". Which I thought was ing absurd. (was my sarcastic meter broken, I have no clue)
The rest is history, the fact that I should apologize is equally absurd. "No hard feelings". What grounds do you have on being upset with me? You do work for Boa, and I've never ever ever seen that posted on this board. End of story. |

Apparently it is. And that is what I wanted to clarify.
The fact that Jeff is currently living in Toronto, is a huge Boa supporter, and had no clue Party Harlequin was a promoter speaks loudly enough from my point of view. |

Hey now don't misquote me. I never said "no" only "I just love the place" which you could put a no or yes before and it still makes perfectly good sense. I wouldn't lie about it, I also don't like being interrogated by people I don't know. Being polite goes a long way!
What's worse though is that your comments continue to be rude and sarcastic. Perhaps you should learn to watch and not jump to conclusions. Do you go up to everyone you meet and introduce yourself as Halo20? I sure hope not, most people would think you're psycho.
What I'd like to know though is, what the hell point are you trying to make? I was preaching the graces of Boa long before they asked me to work for them, and I'd continue to do so even if we parted ways (businesswise).
Get over yourself and stop trying to rile everyone up into some grand inquisition. You aren't going to sway everyone's opinion about me by continuing on this tirade! The reality is Boa is a large operation and I don't even know everyone working there (I meet new one's every week).
If you want to come out to the club please do so, if you don't that's your loss. If you've got a problem with me, tell ME! Don't slanderize me on a public forum, it's just childish. |

Seriously dude, I don't want to keep arguing, you just aren't getting an apology for what I thought was just notification to the readers of this board.

Let's please clarify. I don't have a problem with you AT ALL! I have a problem with you posting on a msg board under the guise of "regular consumer".
I have never seen you make it public that you are such a promoter for BOA until this thread. If you can dig up such evidence, I'd be glad to shut my face.
WTF does Boa being a big operation have to do w/ your defense? They are a business, they pay employees, wow. You are the winner afterall. |

I'm really starting to wonder if you pay any attention to what is said by anyone else. The point about Boa being a big operation is that you don't always know who works there. As Crazedcanuck said, he's known me for a while and only made the connection recently.
Why haven't you figured it out yet? No one really cares, because no one disagrees.
