hmm, their website is still up and fully functional. Larry might be at THC 2nite. If I see him there, I'll ask him.
Cheers... |

| Anybody find out anymore on this. It would suck to lose another store in Los Angeles. We have lost to many already. |

Hey Jake,
I thought I saw Larry there on Friday, but just didn't get a chance to chat. Their website is still up, whoever needs should just email Larry. Personally I haven't shopped at local record stores in a long time(SoCal Area). I now only shop SkillsDJWorkshop in Berkley and/or Frequency-8 in San Francisco whenever I'm up North, but mostly I shop at www.planetxusa.com
Cheers...
ps. Jake any info on when you might be playing at our club RED again? |

Hey Tranz,
Yeah I don't really shop local stores either. I get most of the stuff I play from the Balance Record Pool. I do like the Skills shop up north. I just think these stores, especially ones that have been around for over 14 years like DMC are a instituion to the LA dance scene. If it is closed...it will be highly missed. I have fond memories of hanging out there when Ron D. Core, Simply Jeff and Louis Love worked there.
As for RED. I will be there July 30th :)

Of course there is DJ Culture and Freeclouds. Both are great stores in OC. I just hope we don't keep losing stores in LA. I know most people are buying online but nothing compares to searching through the bins. |

| DMC closed down about 2 months ago. Larry told me he was tired of the store. DMC will be missed by MANY. |
