with no euro 2004 on tonight for us all to yell at, we're bringing back our radio for 5 hours, tonight including mixes from George Kendall & Echano if all goes to plan...
Prelim Lineup
7pm George Kendall
8pm Gibbo
9pm Echano/Mart
10pm Sy's Psy Set :p
11pm Ian

| what style psy will u be playing sy? or are you just hoping to pull off a psy set by mashing together a load of random psy tracks you like akin to ian's previous attempts :rolleyes: |

| well he's a big j00f fan so i guess that might influence him a bit.... and My Psy might be random but it's hard to know every good track from a genre within months of getting into it, and then being able to mix it all together well, but its the trying that means more than the end product imo, I'd rather have fun & try than purposely half-ass it, even if it stands like that |

sorry but this crusader guy is a bit of a bellend....someone rid us of this disease...

fair enough .. after all i was just taking the piss and i doubt any1 takes ukta radio too seriously .. the only point i was trying to make is that if you truly like a music genre then it aint too hard to find out more about it .. find aliases to artists you like or records off a certain label .. and at the end of the day psy has quite a few sub genres as does trance ..

well in all fairness his psy set was a bit harsh and i do believe he admitted it himself afterwards as well .. and if he didnt then he couldnt possibly have been having fun and trying could he ..

do you even know me? your a bellend for judging me by a few posts on a message board .. i happen to really like psy and goa and all i was after was a simple response as to what psy might be played as to whether id listen in and enjoy it .. no different to choosing not to go to a night because u dont like the djs that are playing ..
If it offends the dj that their lack of knowledge of the genre means that the best they can do is slap together random tracks from different sub genres just to provide something different in the name of fun and they get upset about it because someone who actually knows a little about the genre knows its a poor attempt then thats too bad and id say they werent doing it for the fun at all ..
anyhow im yet to hear sy's psy set so will wait and see .. as for ian .. well if you need any recs or help finding psy/goa tracks to your liking then let me know and ill be more then happy to help ..

I'm going through ppl quickly on it, I don't play half a set of Astrix & half a set of Eskimo now :stongue: :stongue: I think to be honest that it was a harsh comment, i think the case of me saying it being one thing, but obv someone else saying it, it could cause offense, which george saw & in a way I'm glad he did cos i have no decent comebac ks, but yeah, the whole point is playing music cos we love it, not cos we can do it ;) |

have you taken offence to my comments (seeing as you said "could cause")? I like how you acknowledge the fact that the set didnt go well and was rather random but as soon as soon else says the same back to you then it quickly out with the "its all about having fun" phrase .. dont know about you .. but listening to some1 trainwreck random tracks akin to the likes of judge jules is neither fun nor enjoyable ..
id like to think what ive said about is constructive criticism as well (and i have offered help if any1 wants to further their knowledge of psy and goa genres), rather then plain insults .. and those comments apply to the past now as you said yourself that your set structure and track selection has changed so i dont see what there is to get upset about .. |

| I expect it will be a hotch potch as I have very few psy records, but it will be good for a laugh and will make a pleasant change from the normal tough trance i play :) |
