| there is something about the front room at system that is very bothersome, and what is so bothersome to me is the colour of the lights. red is my favourite colour,,, but,, those lights drive me nuts,, they are really irritating. i find it to be extreamly uncomfortable to be in there, it kind of feels like i am in a cell, which sucks because a lot of djs that i really like spin there and i like to watch them. i have talked to some other people and they have agreed with me. I do go to OCAD and have taken some courses on colour and colour theory,, a test was done on coloured rooms in prison, and red was aparently the worst, and orange was the best. red is a very agressive and angry colour.. i think that a better colour choice for the lights would be,, a mix of blue, purple and pink, because they are sort of cool colours and more relaxing. the blue and purple are cool and the pink brightens up the room a bit. the red makes it feel very hot in there. i think with those colours people are more likely to stay in the front room for a longer period of time and people would be more comfotable dancing there, because right now it feels like people are just aching to get out of there, once the main room opens up everyone goes in there. i would like to see more of the front room djs get more recognition, and i want to see more people dancing in the front room. what does everyone else think? i say get rid of the red! |

| I agree. I find it really uncomfortable dancing in there as well. Most nights at SYSTEM, if it were not for the fact that I really want to be supporting our own in the front room, I would be avoiding it altogether. Too stark, too bright and just not inviting. So it's the red lights taht make me angry in there...and here I was blaming the vodka for my behavior. :D |

| It could be the fact that they painted their concrete walls stark ugly white. I feel like I'm in an insane asylum in some screwed up movie. With red lighting for ambience... You know just after they hack open the oh so brave and curious white dude. |

yea same here! i try to avoid the room as much as possible. i even hate going there at the end of the nite just to pick up my coat!
those birght white walls and that colour of lighting makes u cringe and wanna run away! i def can't find a comfortable niche to dance in there or to SIT!! hopefully something can be done cos it is a shame for the dj's spinning in there. they might start thinking there's something wrong with them! ... |

Yeah I hardly stay in the front room for that reason as well. The lights bother me for some reason. *shrug*
It also may be the fact that I think to myself, "wtf am I doing dancing infront of the entrance". And I go to the proper dancefloor.
:D |

| wow, i didnt know so many people felt the same,,,, yeah it is way too bright in there,,, thats why i thought blue purple and a bit of pink colours lights in there would work better... |

| I think they could do two small things to improve the feel in this room. Dim the lights number one, and number two...change the tint of the color to a clear or and other lighter shade. I agree, way to bright in there. |
