Does anybody use refx slayer 2? I produce electro so dirty electric guitars would be quality to have in my productions. I was thinking bout getting an electric guitar and learning, think i will anyway but just seen this slayer guitar vst. I know you couldnt really use it for a final production, it would sound blatently like a vst but how good is it for chucking it in then getting a real guitar in there to finish the track off?
Probs a stupid question in a trance forum but ah well. :D |

I've used it.. I dont know how they get it to sound so good. I have never really listened very closly to an electric guitar.. but I wouldn't doubt Slayer can pass for one in a track... |

i got a electric guitar and if i need some metal thrashy sounds, id just bang out some powerchords on that, but the more picky leads and such, id have to use the slayer or slayer 2.
though i can never get a nice sound out of it, the refx dudes have like 351316 effects on it to get a rich sound out of the vst.
gits. |

I thought it may require some careful programming but surely it could never sound like a real guiatar. Killadj do you produce electro? Ill have a go with it anyway, still must really good for setting out the guitar parts tho, then i can just get a mate to play em. |

it makes a great sub for bass, ive used it in fills and generated some riffs to fill blank parts of tracks. ive not actually finished anything with the slayer in it but i might as this thread just gave me some ideas. |
