I have enough patience to watch a commercial once. Any more after that is a waste of time. I'd rather flip the channels to see what else is on, talk to someone, or get a snack, etc.
But one of the stupidest commercials is the Tim Horton commercial where the guy brings home to his girlfriend/wife a Strawberry tart. She asked him if he had the same, and he told her that he did, but his was covered in chocolate.
So he gets this stare from the witch and he goes back out to get her another strawberry tart with the ing chocolate on top.
WTF?!?!?!
a) why would you buy two different tarts?
b) why would you tell the woman that you got one with chocolate on top?
c) why would the woman bitch about it...? she should be happy she got something at all
d) why was the guy dumb enough to go back out to get her another tart?
e) she should at least thank him by giving him a blow job or saying "thank you" at the very least. Nope, no need to thank him. He just went out of his way to make the bitch happy... |

And the cookie crisp commercials, does anyone besides me notice that those dogs used to be criminals and now they've been wimpified?

The worst are
1) the ringtone commercials 'text a b or c to 82888' but not only do they play gash noises over them, they have women who've consumed about 2000 tonnes of Helium, one day i'll record one off my line in to show just how bad
2) personal loan/finance ones - speak for themselves, theres only so many u can see before u go mad |

100% agreed. I can't believe I forgot about both ringtone commercials and personal finance ones. |

Yeah those Mackey D commercials really piss me off too, but mainly because they use one of Justin's songs as a slogan, and God I hate that guy. But yeah, their food sucks, and they (like all other fast food companies) try to give themselves the image of being the trendy place to be and eat, lol!! Makes me laugh when they refer to themselves as 'restaurants' in their commercials instead of 'foul-smelling, uncomfortable and dingy grease pits'.
The adverts I do like, though, are those Tango adverts. I dont know if they have them anywhere else other than the UK; I imagine so. They're class. Where they have the commentator talking about whats about to happen, and it usually involves an intensely suspensful buildup to some event, like a guy dropping from the ceiling into a bathtub full of Apple Tango.

i hate it when they show commercials where theres a guy and a girl and they guy is always this dumbass and the girl is the smart one. i cant cite specific examples right now but you must know what i mean. why do they do this? to make the female population feel better about themselves? i would take it as an insult if i was a girl.
oh i got an example. the new honda commercial where they say this guy financed and hell be paying for a car for 6 years but the girl is smart and and she leases an accord i think for a lower price. (did anyone forget to mention that they rape you if you go over your mileage allowance? no thanks, ill pass on the lease.) but, you see what i mean and there's countless others over the years. |
