so i am thiking of going but i havent actually gone to a club since i have moved here so i have some questions:
who is going?
how late does spundae stay open(that's where it is right?)
will it sell out?
how much are tickets?
so if any TAs are going let me know cause i'd like to meet some SFTAs. (by the way it's like 60/40 chance that i will go to this) |

I think a lot of peeps will be there. Sasha draws a pretty decent crown in SF, but it is the start of the holiday weekend, so who knows. This event is NOT at 1015, where Spundae used to throw friday weeklies, it is at Mezzanine, and will most likely not be open as late. I imaging Mezz will stay open until at least 3, maybe 4 for Sasha...but I wouldn't bet much longer than that unless there are a lot of people
and bar sales are still doing well that late. Mezz stays open much later saturday because it's basically gay night and a big crowd, I have heard until 6 or 7 am. But Friday is different.
Presales are $25 on groovetickets (VIP is $45, which gets you a private bar and free water (woopee), line pass). GA was $15 when tickets initially went on sale. Judging from the fact that it's listed number one on groovetickets, I think presales are going to sell out. I imagine there might be some tickets a the door though.
Hope this helps, and Dave, feel free to correct me if you think I am wrong about when Mezz will close friday... :toocool: |

thanks... $45 with free water isnt a bad deal, i mean i could easily drink $20 worth of water in a night. but i dont buy advanced tickets. i learned my lesson with that. half the time i dont get in. and i figure if there isnt some kid sellin his extras at the door AND they are sold out then i wasnt meant to go.
do you know approximate set times for sasha and how early i would have to get in to get the tickets at the door? also, can they sell alcohol after 2? (i get confused with your laws here - in new york it's 4 am and that's that.) |

If you plan on buying that much water, then I suppose it's not bad.
In some cases, advance tickets aren't necessary...but if the event is going to sell out and you really want to go, then what choice is there. For Sasha, I don't see why you couldn't get in at the door, but they might halt presales soon. Just a guess.
Alcohol can't be served here past 2am, which means most bars stop serving in clubs around 1:30-1:45...becasue the staff needs that extra time to pull all the drinks off the floor, otherwise they face fines from ABC. yeah I know it sucks. There was a proposal earlier in the year that failed which would have extended it until 4 for clubs that are open that late, but hopefully it will pass next year! |

1. I am going!
2. Mezzanine lists it's hours based on what's going on...right now both Spundae and Mezzanine as saying it's over at 5am. Whether it goes that late is to be seen.
3. Will it sell out? That's a good question. I've never seen the Mezzanine "sell out," but then again...I have seen the fire marshall come before and force them to make some people go outside and wait for the place to clear out a bit.
4. Tickets are $25 pre-sale now...will probably be the same at the door.
Mezzanine is an awesome place, BTW! |

Seeing as doors open around 10, I'm guessing that Luke Fair will start spinning around 10-11 for two hours. I'm guessing though Sasha won't be up on the decks til about 1 a.m. and go on til 3. Also, if you buy the presales on groove tickets it says at the top that all will call tickets must be taken by midnight at the latest. So if you got a presale, better get there before midnight.
Yes interesting how presales still haven't sold out yet, but I don't care. This is Sasha after all, and I have never seen him spin in person. But damn, I've loved the GU's and loved Airdrawndagger. I'll certainly love tonight.
Yo Dave, be nice to see you over there again. I promise not to wear too much kandy for ya. Just a pair of photons and some club attire. :stongue: |

ok i have some more questions about mezzanine:
how tight is their security - like if i bring a labeled, sealed sample of excedrin, will they take it away from me?
do they have a coat check?
is it safe to park around there - like could i leave my house keys and my cell phone locked in the car and not worry about it?
thx... |

-Security can tend to be a little tight, but not as bad as 1015 used to be. I know I have had to empty my pockets before. I know cameras are not allowed, but I don't think they would take your excedrin away.
-Yes there is a coat check
-Parking is realtively safe in the area, I haven't had a ny problems yet...but that doesn't rule out the possibility. There are some sketchballs in the neighborhood for sure. If you want to be absolutely safe, you can park at garage down the street, which is across from Metreon. |

VIP tickets are sold out (no longer on the website).
$25 tickets are still available, but they are listed number 1 on
the top 10 at groovetickets. My guess is presales will likely sell out. I have no idea if there will be tickets at the door in this case. |

I just happen to be in SF for the Apple WWDC :)
My only question... do they have a dress code?
I only have jeans, sneakers (black) and t-shirts.
Hmm, I went to PVD Central park, planning on going to Sasha friday and going to Oakenfold sat night at Avalon Boston. Fun week! :)
Thanks!

Yes I was wondering how strict the dress code was at Mezzanine too. I'm hoping it's as lax as the 1015.
