Only one more book to go!!!
Without giving away too much of the plot, Id say that this book was of a little less quality than 'The Wolves...'. Lots of action though, and the story is properly set up for Book 7 which should be out just in time for Christmas. I was really excited to see the character development, especially in Jake Chambers. The duality between Susanah and Mia was especially cool, though I didnt quite understand the prupose of the allusion, nor necessarily believe in the rationalization for the sire of her 'chap'. But this was still a top-notch book nonetheless. I cannot wait for the final chapter, which is said to be well over 800 pages.
Any other Dark Tower fans read this book yet? |

Man, I've had Wolves since Christmas and have not gotten to sit down and read it all. I freakin love the Dark Tower series, and cannot believe that I have not finished Wolves.
Songs looks great and the preface gave a great description of what is to come. Thanks for the review, it makes me want to finish Wolves.
Can't wait for the finish! |

| The ending of Wolves is a great, p[refectlky done climax with a proper tension build up (steven kings biggest strength), though I thought King might have over done the '19' refernece. Though now that I think about it, i have been seeing the number 19 everywhere since i read it... :wtf: |

ARg I need to read these, I read the first one years ago but then I read IT, and so naturally the next few years of my life were spent reading IT again and forgetting about Dark Tower.
*goes to catch up* |

Stephen King is my writing idol. I've read only 10 of his books and I write my own (NOT professionally). Favorite book has to be The Stand, and fav. Book-to-tv-movie is The Langoliers, which came out to be around 95% similar to the book. Another great flick was Christine, but the book had so much more to it. :)
I've never read any of the Dark Tower books but I will one day. |

Stephen King is a freakin' genius... he writes stories that appeal to so many people, and in the process he gets the literary snobs all ticked off! Woo-hoo, go Stevie! :)
I haven't read this book but I skipped right to the end to read a certain journal I had heard about... needless to say, it was BRILLIANT. Dark Tower is like the unified field theory of the Kingverse.
Hey DarkAngel have you read King's On Writing? I'm reading it right now and enjoying it immensely!!
