| hey all...i didn't actually see any clips, highlights or reruns of this fight, therefore i'm only going on other peoples' account of the evening and what sports writers are saying bout jones jr/tarver 2...But you know how a picture is worth a thousand words, not having seen it, its hard to formulate my own opinion...anyhow, i still feel he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world...people are arguing that it may be bernard hopkins or floyd mayweather jr. but i saw both fight recently and although hopkins and mayweather are good, hopkins ain't the best ever, and mayweathers move up into a heavier class has made him look slow as of late...so, fill me in on what i've missed and i'm probably being ignorant, but wouldn't Jones Jr. spank Tarver if they fought for a third time?...i think so...:rolleyes: |

| i dont think at all that hes finished....but really tarver would beat him again in a third fight hes just got his number like ken norton had ali's...i really hope tarver fights tyson soon because tyson will beat him down inside 3 rounds an set the table for jones vs tyson....a fight i think jones can win...styles make fights :toothless |

| hate to admit it, but i have to agree with you about tarver...he does have jones' jr number...but i don't think there will ever be a tyson vs jones fight...i'm pretty sure jones jr will not take that fight...its too dangerous and even if he did win, would many people be surprised?...i mean, tyson just started his campaign back and he's only doing it for the money, has made that apparently clear to everyone...so why would jones jr fight that, a has been, who is actually alot smarter than he lets on...then again, i heard a rumor that it was all show for tyson, the craziness, the immaturity and short temper, all for the show...;) |

| i dont know i could see that fight happening because its more or less good for both fighters, roy gets a win over a big name opponent....even if he is in the twilight of his career...an mike tyson would makes lots an lots of money....and about tysons crazy assed behavior...i dunno....im a tyson fan because back in the day he could really fight....in some interviews ive he seems very very bright....an sometimes well, hes just mike tyson :eyespop: |

Everyone just needs to find their own weight and stay there instead of trying to keep going to a higher weight class with guys who are that weight normally. They end up putting on pounds just to fight for bigger money but what they end up doing is messing up their dynamic and making themselves slower by having extra weight that they normally don't fight with.
So Roy Jones should find his ideal weight (it doesnt have to be heavyweight) and I think he will do much better. |
