midwest clubbin experiences

i just wanted to start this thread to find out what kinda clubs there are in the midwest.
Where do you like to go clubbin or if you're a DJ, where do you spin or like to spin.
How about some stories..... hehe
i dont really konw where im going with this. Anyway, I just want to see what everyone has to say about the midwest clubbing scene.

where in Wisconsin do you live?
imo the only clubs worth going to in Milwaukee are Three, Flybar, and Mantra. i rarely go out to the Milwaukee clubs unless there's someone i really want to see.
i spend more time @ Vision in Chicago than anywhere else, really.  |

Im from BD===> about 40miles from madison and about the same from milwaukee
yeah... im only 16 and i wont hit 17 for a month and a half so for now the only place i can go is "brooklyns" in appleton. They play some house, but its mostly top 40 crap. Once i hit 17 i will check out "pure" in milwaukee. It doesnt look too thrilling but oh well. Kinda sucks to be into this whole club culture this early when i cant even go anywhere yet. :(
All i know is that when i turn 18 the first thing i am doing is spending a week or two in ibiza. Im already savin up... |

Yeah, most clubs in CHicago are 21+ [except like Zero Gravity], but i thought it was worth the wait. i could drink whatever i wanted, i didn't have to worry about curfew [via parents or city], and neither did my friends. People @ Vision seemed much more friendly than at ZG. but to each his own. |

| As being in Chicago some of my favorite clubbing experiances have been at the "old" Crobar. Back in the day Psycho & Teri tore it up & the place was always madd packed with alot of energy. Now I still go to Crobar on Saturdays & mostly enjoy it but not as much. But since Spundae took over Vision 2 years ago I love the sky room when a good DJ spins & when its packed the place it off the hook. Alot of energy there most of the time. Transit is just ok to me unless a good DJ is there. Sound Bar is a good club & a different scene than Vision, so sometimes its nice to hit that place up too. I hit up Rive alot cause i dont pay cover & drink for free. But its mostly early to pre drink since Rive is a total cheeze club. But my favorite club ever in Chicago was Shelter. It closed back in 1998, but before it closed I had some great times there in 97 when I had a fake. Shelters 7th anneversary party rocked. Ill never forget that night. |
