Tell me people, how can I produce the bass like in
Smith and Pledger - Connected,
Aalto - Taurine,
Menno de Jong - Guanxi
and so on.
Only using VST plugins.
Thanx. |

ES2 is the key for a&b.. but have a look in the anjuna-board... there are a lot of good tips.. |

Powercore 01 is good for this type of bass. |

anything, its pretty much a simple saw with a short decay filter envelope and some resonance, eqing and compression is whats kinda tough :) but the guy is right, they do use ES2 for alot of their basses. |

Layering your bass is key too, you gotta have the sub bass for the deep lows, what actually comes out of your woofer, and then a midrange bassline for the fullness and for that drive. This way you can keep the sub bass from interfering with the kick while the actual melody from the bassline can do whatever you want. |

deffo^^^ i do that all the time :) also its not just eq (at least how I do it)--tweak the synth so its a more low sound and have another one tweaked for a mid-ranged sound to give it punch |
