Markus Schulz starts us off with the Essentials! America is celebrating it's
Independence and we're enjoying the show! Markus just returned from the
first leg of his Summer European tour and brought with him tons of fresh
choons just for us! Be sure to tune in to this first hour to check it out.
Above & Beyond rejoins the Broadcast! Above & Beyond are without doubt one
of the most exciting talents in the global dance music scene today. Their
genre-defining productions - often released on their own Anjunabeats label -
have become an essential tool for the world's leading DJ's and have set the
benchmark for the new generation of trance producers. Above & Beyond - aka
Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki - have recorded under a
number of different aliases including Aalto, Free State, Nitromethane,
Oceanlab, P.O.S and Tranquility Base.
Above & Beyond are currently promoting their own solo release, 'No One On
Earth', which features ex Faithless songstress Zoe Johnston on vocals. The
tune has become a firm favorite for Markus Schulz, Armin and Tiesto and
seems destined to achieve anthem status. Next up after that, look out for
Above & Beyond remixes of Dido, Delerium and Ferry Corsten, as well another
new single under their Tranquility Base guise.
Mike Shiver returns to the Broadcast! Since breaking into the scene in 2003
with one of the year's most talked about productions: 'Mike Shiver -
Feelings (Lost Language Recordings)', Mike has produced and remixed for
labels such As Armada Music, Afterglow Recordings, Drizzly Music, Euphonic
Records, Afterglow Recordings, Platipus Records, Noys Music.
Dec 2003 saw Mike start his own label; Captured Music. Their first release
was 'Sonicvibe & Mike Shiver - Lunation' , and received massive support from
many of the world top jocks. Mike and his label have also been responsible
for the releases of 'Passiva - Clouds Like Heaven' and the forthcoming
'Halifax - Reveal You Innocence' (a Mark Otten & Frans Van Der Boom
production). Mike is proud to announce the first airplay of the forthcoming
track 'Mike Shiver & Elevation - Hurricane (Mike Shiver Remix), to be
released on Captured Music as well (Elevation Mix recently broadcasted by
Markus Schulz here on GDJB).
Mike is now noted as one of the strongest DJ / Producers coming out of
Sweden in 2004.
