i thought oakenfolds first hour was pretty mediocre, but the last two hours were amazing, when he played southern sun i nearly pissed my pants, man this dudes track selection was wicked but the mixing was okay, could have been better. but over all i was in impressed. oakenfold you made my night.

i thought that the guvernment was the place to be tonight, KH was ok but not perfect, i'm not a house fan, im a tranceaddict, svath was in my opinion.

mark oliver did a good job, but it was not the best i have heard from him, he played some crappy house tunes for a while which i was not down for.

over all a great in clubbing experience. look forward to more

Mark Oliver played house last night?

Well yes at the very end of the night he played 2 songs but i never heard him play house at all other than that.

More like crazy banging techno followed by trance.

Had a wicked time! Oakey was boring so after a while we left for KH... Never seen Hawtin B4, he was alright but nothing special, and I was really dissapointed with Sven! I was looking forward to his crazy energy and stage presence he brought last year...oh well. So needless to say nobody impresed me but that doen't mean I didn't have a blast on the dance floor. Hope all of u had fun!!

i remember reading something bout "my mind is............" somewhere

its might be an old prodigy track called

The Prodigy - Claustrophobic Sting

the guy says "my mind is glowing" and there is an evil laugh throughout.

might be a remix of some sorts :D

I was in kool haus most of the evening. i brought some rookies (by rookies i dont mean ta's in training like myself, i mean they've never been to see a dj ever). And needless to say they had a good time. charlie sorry i could'nt get white gloves for your mj dance lol. hawtin had some troble at the end of his set with record skipping. but he did a good job alltogether. vath rocked. by the last hour of his set he pulled some from the vault that just made the crowd nuts. in my honest opinion i'd rather see vath than anyone else. much love to russia and dutch. you made the night national for me. its just to bad i had to spend the last 2 hours of the night in guv cause they closed the rest of the place. not that i dont like trance but i just dont like being pushed all over the place. a bit to crowded for my liking. so all in all a great night. charly, tasha, keith, and MUP.thanx for the hook-up.see you at rugby practice. haaaaaaaaaaaaa. VI M P :haha: :haha:

bumping this thread with my pics from the night. i was fooling around with my settings (still trying to find the optimal club setting.. almost there) and forgot my extra battery, so i had to make the pics count.

anyways, check them out!

very nice night indeed, as far as i can remeber it (about 39% of it).
there was so many plan changes last night that untill 2;30 am i had no idea where will i go.

it all started at a Serbian party where my friend was celebrating her birthday (free drinks all night), and since alcohol is my nemesis i was properly ED UP upon entering koolhaus and there i made even bigger mistake ( i dont wanna explain but use your imagination) so the first hour-hour and a half are all kinda blurry (read "NO MEMORY OF IT").

then world came back in focus and first thing that i noticed was "holy mother of God there is so many hot, pretty girls in the house", i have never seen so many ladies in there before, so i left my friend and went solo for a while. then i met a gruop of 7 nice girls, made a really special connection with one of them and had really good time for the rest of the night (almost).

vath was sick, when he started spinnin' prog it was unbeliveable, ELEVEN THUMBS UP.

but then she went home, i lost her phone number, and i misunderstood my sister and spent hour and a half in front of guv waiting for my ride home.

so, it was a really good night, could've been better but what the heck i just hope to God that i've given her my phone number.

and i learned couple of things :

1. some things should NEVER mix
2. ALWAYS wear sunglases
3. buy cell phone

and now i have to get some sleep

Proper review to come later, but until then...

Hmmm... so much going on in head, where do I start.

I went to Global Gathering strictly for the techno so it was KH for me all night.a girl does need her techno fix every so often. And what a techno party it was!! I also went with fewer friends as Danny Tenaglia had managed to lure them away. Got in at about 12.30-1am. Met some TAs and immediately hit the dance floor.

Ritchie is GOD in my eyes!
Meh what do you expect from someone with a MSN handle that reads
" ..and then GOD said, Let there be techno! and thus Ritchie was born.."

I was not expecting him to be nearly as good as he was at System back in January- I was pleasantly surprised. He is a master on the boards and one could see that he was getting a bit annoyed with the skipping too. Considering it was KH, I let it slide. Being the crazee ass dancer that I am, I am happy to report that Ritchie's set kept my phat ass shaking from start to finish with a permanent smile pasted on my face. I had to shake the man's hand and this hand of mine has yet to be washed.
On a side note, I would love to see Ritchie spin at a smaller venue where one can truly appreciate him for his genius. I'll be waiting to experience him again.
Ritchie set the stage nicely for Sven, who while not at his best, still kept me going until closing time. I noticed that Sven is quite the flirt and after we exchanged a few meaningful albeit corny glances, i was sure he was spinning just for me ;). I lost kajillion callories and for once I am nicely satiated and know that i have done more than my share in holding up the dance floor. A special thanks goes out to Ben who kept me company when I realized that all the people I'd come with had left and that i was truly alone- me in my teenie weenie green dress that did not ward off the few vultures there.
I wanted to make mention of the vibe in the techno room. The people there knew exactly what was in store for them and the intensity on the dance floor matched the music quite nicely. This has been my first time I partied alone without my entourage of dance partners( I WAS a bit nervous as I didn't want to razzed) and I had no problems finding people who matched my energy. There were smiles all round and when the looping and build up came, there was no doubt that the crowd ate everything up. Not that i am against socializing, but there we no one in the lounge area as most people were out dancing in full force. The ladies of techno were a pleasure to watch as well. I mean there were tons of women out there tearing the dance floor without being too caught up in the legendary beauty myth. I was forced to come out of my shell and meet new people, and that would not have happened if I had the luxury of my protective circle of friends around me. and of course I missed the friends so much that i had to make an unexpected visit to experience the infamous Dannt Tenaglia @ Boa after I closed down KH just to savour the squeals of joy, the tons of hugs, the pleasantly surprised looks, the pats on the back, not to mention some looks of disbelief on their faces especially since I was supposed to be sleeping.
WOW!! A truly wonderful Canada Day all round absolutely no regrets...

Hail all you techno-heads!!!!!!

Neeta.

He did that with me as well. Kept smiling and winking at me. He is amazing. His set was something else and had me dancing for at least 3 hours before taking a small break. I was wearing stilettos but it didn't stop me. I didn't care. I was jumping and everything.

As far as Oakenfold goes. Pffft pure cheese. I heard one good song and left. No thanks.

Btw, he looked like he was high on something. The way he kept putting his hands up in the air in a corny way, like was praying to a God or something looked pathetic.

Oakie played Igor S - Boomerang. I sort of like that track.

Yes, rest was cheese.
