Modular Software Synth?

So ive been reading the Synth secrets articles on soundonsound, and so far they are very interesting. I am looking to try out a bunch of the stuff mentioned in the srticles, so that I can actually hear the things that are being described. I have a good idea of what they sound like already, but reading is never the same as doing, so I am looking for a modular synth program that isnt too difficult to grasp and isnt too pricey.
The ones I am aware of are vaz and reaktor, but they cost alot and are pretty advanced, and I am looking for something that isnt too difficult to obtain and start messing with.
I was thinking a good modular synth program would have all the neccesary components and such to test most of the stuff these articles talk about, from what i am interpreting they are pretty common things.
So if anyone knows of some more modular synth software, or has any info to contribute about the programs I mentioned, please reply! |

I suggest you grab the demo's of vaz modular and reaktor, and maybe tassman to just try them out for the month or whatever they let you use them. Then you will have had some expirience with them.

| Well the bigger ones are probably moog modular, Vaz modular, reaktor 4 ans virysn tera. I don't think there is such a thing as an easy modular synth, but I wouls suggest having a look at reaktor, its probably the best one out there. |
