Have you seen the 2005 Impreza WRX STi? INSANE!!!
Thing has 300hp, plus the torque is 300lbs @ 6000rpm... its also a 6 speed stick AND the phattest thing... they have this transmission that lets you switch from 4 wheel to part-time 4 wheel... meaning instead of 50% power displacement between front and back... the front gets 35% and the back gets 65%... crazy ! |

That car is SICK!!! They make a turbo for my car that adds 100 hp.....that will make my car faster than the WRX but not the STI......but im sure with a few more upgrades.....it will be pretty damn close. We will see.......;) |

what you talk about is not the tranny, its the differential. most cars are either front wheel or rear wheel drive. rear wheel drive utilizes a differential which is in the back of the car to turn the rear wheels. its similar to like those trucks you see that have that pipe under it that spins...basically it guides the power from the engine in the front to the rubber in the back.
subaru is known for their rally spec vehicles. being that it is an ALL WHEEL driven car, you have the engine in front turning the front wheels and a differential in the back which synchronizes turning the rear wheels. now if you have the torque distributed equally such that both the front and the rear are turning at the same rate you may notice that in some "sharper" turns you might experience under/over steer. what the DCCD allows the driver to do is control the percentage of torque distribution to front vs back. this is where you get subaru's motto "from the wheels that slip to the wheels that grip" and the best thing about this technology is that the driver feels barely any body roll while operating the vehicle. body roll is what you do when your parents are driving and 3 people are in the back and they turn left and the person in the right seat gets squished! yea that thing...
anyways i've come to basically dream about this car, AMDMAXX is an owner of an sti, and i soon to be as well. car tip for any enthusiast out there, mitsu is comin out with their evo mr which is also a 6 speed, but i've been sold to the rally giants from the get-go. subaru all the way...
as for their shell, exterior design, i have to complement subarus in designing a vehicle that does not look like any other. the pioneers of the bug eye'd wrx is a clear indication that this vehicle is liked by the eyes who they catch. most of the elements featured on the wrx sti are functional (ie: the large wing) yea alot of people bitch and moan about rice this, rice that, but from experience at higher speeds ranging from 120-160 you'll notice that w/o the wing the back end likes to fishtale and its harder to keep the car straight. personally i like the wing, some differ. my personal opinion stands that this car is unique, it doesnt look like no honda or acura, no mustang or camaro, its a subaru...it strays away from luxury and offers full sport. and not the sport that USDM manufacturers categorize as sport...cmon Dodge Neon SRT-4?, NISSAN seR? sorry i like my 300hp SEDAN...yea i got 4 doors nigga LOLS....
so if anyone is out there who is looking to purchase a car, go with subaru...I RECOMMEND IT. lols
ps - did i do a good job selling subaru? niggas should pay me for this ....or art should just give me his sti since he is old and married and has no time for the car when this young lively kid can give the sti some spirit...DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT! |
