| Well either way if a DJ threw a record out to the crowd for whatever reason, I’d return the favor depending on the tune and how drunk I was. Almost defiantly if it hit me in the face. |

| At least it hit her in the face... and not in the eyes(at least I hope not). I got 'hit' in the eye with a piece of paper before... that hurt like a mofo... can you say papercut to the cornea??? It hurts to even think about it(and it happened years ago). |

Sasha clearly states that he did not throw the record out of malice.

I bet the the girl didn't even get to keep that record! Because someone else was so friggin happy to have it.
Like example... you go to a baseball game, someone gets hit by a foul ball, you don't see players quitting the game out of distraught, becaus ethey know it's an accident, and they shouldn't be held liable. Sasha obviously cares very much about what happened and it is a testament to his character by walking off stage.

| I don't know that the football analogy is correct. Obviously a football is going to fly about during a game and there is an implied risk in attending a match. However, being hit in the face by an airborne record is not a risk that one would consider "normal" when attending the club. |

Always be careful to jump to conclusions from rumours.. I wasn't there but I'd say this account sounds much more like the sasha I know rather than "sasha the bad tempered dj":
DJ Sasha dismissed reports on the web this week that he'd been angry when a record he threw into the crowd struck a girl fully in the face, telling Skrufff that he’d actually been larking around after a dirty record got stuck in its groove. "I was two thirds into my set, the place was going off and I was really enjoying myself when the record started jumping," said Sasha. "By the third time it happened, the whole crowd was cheering and I ripped it off and threw it up in the air in an overly theatrical way, certainly not in frustration. I was just being a bit silly and theatrical and I guess the record boomeranged onto something and hit this poor girl on the head."
The incident happened at Cardiff’s Time Flies event, and effectively finished the party there and then, though Sasha was also keen to refute allegations that he’d been subsequently manhandled from the decks by bouncers. "Her boyfriend grabbed hold of me, thinking that I’d thrown a glass at her or something and took me backstage and I went into this room with him to see this poor girl there with blood all over her face," he continued. "After I’d seen that I was freaked out, I didn’t know how the girl was and I didn’t want her to think I didn’t give a by going back on and playing. I was flipped out by the whole thing."
Sasha said he’s since been in contact with the girl who’s now fully recovered and will be entertaining her and her boyfriend at his next Fabric gig in July. Coincidentally he’ll also have ditched using vinyl altogether by then as well as much of the music he used to play, he said. "In about three weeks time I’m ditching vinyl and CDs to go out on the road using my computer and that’s going to allow me to mix anything with everything," said Sasha. "I’m now actively distancing myself from that progressive sound that was previously attached to me, because it really doesn’t hold much interest for me anymore," he revealed. "I think it’s time to move on, maybe I’m looking back to ‘85 instead of ’95." He added. |

well considering the promotor said he spent 10 years trying to book sasha, i dont exactly believe he would have been thrown out of the club.
even if he is considered an ass, i am still realy looking forward to him playing here in a week. I think he is the only real dj pushing something new, and fun, and he is definatly changing his style.
Involver was great, and so are the sets which i have heard on the net. I really like the style he is playing with, a more fun house, with great melody.
I am saying, he is #1 this year already in my books. |

I agree with everything you said other then the baseball game analogy. You must be joking...when I go to a club I'm not thinking I should be looking out for flying records. |
