Best software synth for Trance Production

Hey All,
Im new to these forums so I guess Ill start by saying I got into trance production 3 years ago when I bought a juno 60. After that I was hooked on production of all sorts of music but especially trance despite the fact I get a lot of S**t for it (People hate i there in my town called F*g music..). Any ways now myo studio has a cs6x emu planet earth w/ mophatt rm rm1x and su700. Recently I just went the software route and I am hooked. Though I have no good VST synths, I am absolutly blown by the flexibility, which was non-existant in hardware. Im sure these are all obvious, especially with being able to mix it properly with comp eq for each seperate track... so anyways now I am hooked and need 2 things. A good software drum synth for trance and like mellow prog, and than a software synth,, Thinking atmosphere but what else is out there.. (Do any of them have arps????) Or are there any software bundles etc etc. Anyways any help greatly appreciated...

Wow...money is no issue then if Atmosphere is your first plunge into this!
You may want to consider the link that Mr.Mystery gave you above, and consider working through some demos.
Thats the only GOOD advice that I (or anyone else) could give as anything else would only be subjective.
Vanguard is quite inexpensive and has some incredible trancey stuff and ARPs galore. Gates too. Demo is available...don't forget the free banks that are available as well!

Atmosphere..think its like 369 at zzounds..Im gonna be selling a peice of gear to help me get some computer stuff.. prolly su700......right now though im looking at Reason; very attractive. I like the idea of the simplicity yet functionality. Its the summer so I want to spend my time making tracks not reading manuals... Only thing is that no VST's and cant sequence external synths through a midi out...(right??)... Does 2.5 rewire with Nuendo 1.61?? (my current program..) Anyways yeah any thoughts or help appreciated!!
