Definately the worst dj'ing performance I have ever seen. Even worse than when I first started.
Ricky Ferri was playing just before him and his tunes were brilliant, but fergwad felt it necessary to fanny around with the volumes every 2 seconds which really killed flow of rickys set.
Onto Fergie's set and I just laughed the majority of the way thru. His scratching was disgraceful, his cuttting was even worse, there was no flow to his set and I counted at least 10 times where he cut the volume and started shouting at the crowd. Near the end of his set he jumped up on the decks and started dancing, consequently knocking the needle off at one point. If he was playing at a decent club like the arches he would have cleared the dancefloor (thankfully he was playing at room at the top and the dancefloor was half empty in the first place:p ).
The only saving grace of the night was the fact that Gabry Fasano was playing after him for a two hour set. Oh the joy!! He was in wicked, absolutely pounding techno set and by the last hour of his set he had at least created a decent atmosphere. Played so many tunes that I didn't recognise, but some of the breakdowns were absoultely obscene - just pure noise followed by the most pounding basslines:happy2: he played his own remix of benozal, a new time new place remix, max walder - destroy the sound and tonnes of other amazing tunes - i'd definately say he is on par with picotto if not better.
Word to the wise - never go to room at the top - it's a hole.:nervous: |
