Whats wrong with your gear? Those are two of the best pieces of equipment arent they? Even if you have great gear don't you still want a virus?

Yummy stuff but a pity to sell it off....

I got a 2nd Machinedrum (I got it as a trade) and I also have a very ummy Virus Indigo Redback... Since I just dunked $2200 for a minty fresh Jupiter 8 and another 2 bills for Novation Drumstation, my bank account is a bit strained. While I like to be all glutonous and keep 2x of each, I have to pay the bills as well. So, it's a sweet parting - not a sad one ;).

Hopefully once I get some money back, I can spend it on the 303 that's waiting for me and hopefully I'll hear back from the dude who promissed me a boxed TR-909 that's been used 3x in its entire life. :D

Who knows, afterwards I might splurge on a 01v96 - if my wife hasn't divorced me by then. ;)

P.S. Yes, I did have to sell my soul to the devil...
P.S.S. Screw drugs, GAS* is the most bank-wrecking habbit you can form.

Can I ask you something? I have a Virus KC as well, and I noticed when I got it brand new, there were lines of pixels missing on the display screen....is that supposed to happen or does yours show all the pixels?

There's a setting for contrast you may want fiddle with. Try turning it to the max (it should be all dark, you won't be able to see anything but dark pixels). If you still see missing pixels, you got a bad LCD and need to get it replaced.

So to answer your question - no, it's not a normal operation. I would not recommend trying to fix it yourself, as taking the virus apart is notoriously painful.

Virus has some service centers in US that may be of help.

Later!

Where is the contrast control located?

hey cheggy
Press the "system/multiedit" button and paramter scroll to System: LCD Contrast. It sounds like you got a broken screen though.

OK yup, i definitely have a ed up screen.

Luckily I only bought it a month ago and musiciansfriend.com has a 45 day return policy.

I am just concerned they will charge me a restocking fee since I dont have the original box anymore.
