Indeed, it's a myth that goldfish have short life spans (and memories actually), largly fed by the fact that they are so easy to kill :p
I shared a house with a couple of TA's and the goldfish lived just over 2 years. Which doesn't seem like long but bearing in mind it started off it's life with a night out at Gatecrasher NEC, tried ketamine and numerous class a drugs, and had a kettle for a second home; it had a pretty good innings |

Spot is my mother's rabbit, the bunny is evil. Anyone that holds him, he instantly start to nibble holes thru their shirts. He drinks 250ml a day of water, for a small bunny less than 4 pounds, it's rediculous. |

I had a cat that lived for 16yrs.
from 1 till i was 17. That cat was my bestest friend in the whole world.
My life crumbled when it died...
I had a very hard time dealing with his death considering that cat (friend) was the only constant companion in my life.
I moved around as a kid....so my black Main Coon, Magic, was the bomb.
His full name out of respect of mentioning him:
Magic Williferd A'la Peanut Butter Sandwhich Agosto
and i miss him :( |

My grandmother's dog (a chow) lived to be 17, I believe. She was deaf, going blind, and had a number of other problems, however. They had to put her down because she was suffering. :(
My cat is currently 7 or 8. She's in fine health, though, and acts as though she's a damn kitten. I'd expect another 10 years out of her, no problem. (At least, she better make it that long.) :nervous: |
