An Ending Ascent melody, where is it from?

A few days ago I was in this WW II museum and I was walking through when I heard "Brian Eno - An Ending Ascent" except it was just the melody with no effects or anything. I was like "WTF" , and I went to the next room and there was a Projector Screen and it was showing a video of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, and all the aftermath and many footages of the explosions, but the video had no sound and the only thing playing was the melody from "An Ending Ascent".
So I'm just wondering whether this is an old melody that Brian Eno used or is it an old sample or what:conf: |

| You sure it wasn't just the original mix they were playing? |

| The Leama and Moor Remix is brand new. Brian Eno made this song more than 10 years ago, dunno exactly what year. |

I only know that Brian Eno produced An Ending (Ascent) in 1983 as part of the soundtrack for a movie about the Apollo missions. I don't know if he also composed the melody or merely 'borrowed' it.
More info about that soundtrack here.
The Leama & Moor Remix is brand new though, as BeeJay stated. |

The original beatless ambient version is indeed made in 1983 and for the "Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks" but has been used in various soundtracks ever since just like the classical piece Samuel Barber - Adagio For Strings (1938) of which William Orbit remade and "synthesized" in the late 90s.
Leama & Moor are also working / have already done their ambient view of An Ending (Ascent) which i believe is just an ambient version of their remix.
Museums or shows of some kind use quite often calm ambient tracks along with some cruel and/or violent videos, especially on some old ones. The original sound (if there is one) might be too "attacking" for the viewers or otherwise too strong for use. This is just my opinion tho, i'm not absolutely sure. |

| Currently its from the film 28 days later, when they are driving up the motor way, you may have heard it from there recently. |

Ya, it stated in the previous thread that it was released years back on Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks but I was just wondering if it was really created by Brian Eno or if it was a known fact to some people that it was borrowed from something. |

| As far as i know, it really is his own creation, not "borrowed" from anyone. 2 different length versions exist (Apollo OST 4:22 / Eno - Music For The Films vol II 3:45). |
