It's been several days since my last clubbing experience and my ears are still ringing. I love trance, but I I'm concerned I'll mess up my hearing permanatly.

Does anyone know of some resources about how to keep you hearing healthy? Any advice? Any older TAs experiencing problems? Thanks.

how many days?

Going to an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist usually helps. They'll conduct a wide range of frequency tests and give you better advice, that's adaptive to your specific hearing functions, than any pseudo-expert here possibly could.

Earplugs are a big thing at this point for you. Also make sure you don't have an exsessive amount of ear wax in thier either.

Wow. Three to four days of ringing is not good. In fact, that could be a sign that you've already done some damage. You might want to go to the doctor and make sure things are alright. There are tiny, tiny bones in your ears and if the vibrations did damage to any of them, you might need to have something done.

you have tinnitus, which is obvious enough. give it a day or two and your hearing should be fine again.
then again, im only a pseudo-expert. dont listen to me. support your local otorhinolaryngologist.

visit one if it doesn't get better either way.

dictionary.com :

Otorhinolaryngology is the type of medical specialty that drives the layperson to despair, both of pronouncing the word properly and of having any notion of what it means. The words ear, nose, and throat are quite clear, however, and that is what is meant by oto-, rhino-, and laryngo-, which are the forms of Greek ous, “ear,” rhs, “nose,” and larunx, “larynx or upper part of the windpipe,” respectively, when used in combination with other word forms.

if this was the first time you expereinced a very loud show than its expected your ears will ring for a few days. If not here are a few tips I have for you in the future;

1)dance or stand away from the speakers.Try to position yourself away from where the floor or main speakers are pointed.

2) if you are really concerned wear ear plugs.

3) dont listen to anything after a loud show for a few days. it helps your ears recover.
