'Trancemaster' best Trance compilation?

trancemaster is the best trance coplilation that i know.. incl full length tracks and letting cheesy tracks out.
now I have thought if there are other ones like these or better.. any recommendations? |

| aside from the 'club' ones like gods, crasher. passion etc, u cant beat ferrys trance nations, 1,2,3,4 and 2001.... all since that are not him & have gone down in levels to typical MOS standards |

Trancemaster used to be brilliant, and if you follow it from the first volume in 1992 you can trance a pretty good history of trance music. The recent ones are not so interesting, but, if you don't mind the odd edit or cheesy track, they still represent a fine opportunity for non-vinyl users to purchase some tracks on CD that they wouldn't have been able to get otherwise.
Oh, and if you're looking for similar, try the World Of Trance series which is also put out by the same label as Trancemaster. It started a little later than TM did (in the mid 90s I think) and follows a similar formula. They are a little harder and cheesier but you might like some of them. |

Word. I've been lucky enough to hear some of the early ones and they really are amazing if you're interested in early trance. I'd definitely buy them too if the chance arose. |

Trancemaster 18-24 are massive... been pretty much cheese since imo. TM 19 was my first Trance CD ever, and I bought it just to sample trance music. All of these tracks make me shiver these days, because i totally over-listened those cd's :D

those 2 (the early ones) look nice, but after buying the giant piece of crap that was trancemaster 3002 i kinda got scared of the trancemaster series forever
the cd did have the odd good tracks (solar factor - no return, nunrg - dreamland) but they even start to sound worse when put next to the lamest filler crap |
